1
Spider-Man 2 (2004,  PG-13)
Spider-Man 2
The best super hero movie ever! I love the ending.
2
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (2004,  R)
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
One of the most clever and unique stories ever put on film. Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet give the best performances of their careers.
3
Million Dollar Baby (2004,  PG-13)
Million Dollar Baby
This film deserves its title of Best Picture of 2004. At times, it is completely hilarious, and sometimes it is sincerely heartbreaking. The cast is spectacular, notably Hilary Swank as a discouraged female boxer, and Morgan Freeman as a worker at the Dunn's Gym. You have to see it.
4
The Incredibles (2004,  PG)
The Incredibles
Pixar does it again. They never seem to fail in making a great movie. All the characters are great, and the action scenes are incredible. The Boundin' thing at the beginning isn't my favorite short film, but it is okay. This is one of the best superhero movies ever.
5
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004,  PG)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
This movie is a great adaptation of the book, though it is cheesy at times. The director, Alfonso Cuaron, is spectacular. They left the backbones of the story intact, creating a great feeling of emotion and flow. By far the best of the series. The only part I hate is the Knight Bus and the shrunken head. It feels too cartoony. The cast is great in this movie: Alan Rickman as Snape, Gary Oldman as Sirius, Maggie Smith as McGonagall, and even Daniel Radcliffe is good in this movie.
6
Team America - World Police (2004,  R)
Team America - World Police
One of the funniest movies I have ever seen. The songs are hilarious.
7
Kill Bill, Volume 2 (2004,  R)
Kill Bill, Volume 2
The story is just as great as the first, and the end is very well done. After watching these two Kill Bill movies, I am really interested in watching more of Quentin Tarantino's work.
8
Mean Girls (2004,  PG-13)
Mean Girls
It is a superb portrayl of high school. The whole movie is absolutely hilarious. The ending makes you think.
9
The Aviator (2004,  PG-13)
The Aviator
It is pretty weird. However, it still is a good movie with great acting and an inspiring story.
10
The Bourne Supremacy (2004,  PG-13)
The Bourne Supremacy
A great sequel that is only a little less entertaining than the first. The car chase is spectacular. The ending is really touching. I can't wait for the third one!
11
Collateral (2004,  R)
Collateral
A very good movie. The beginning and the end are awesome, but the middle is a little slow. Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx's performances are top-notch and Oscar worthy. This movie has a really cool feeling to it.
12
The Terminal (2004,  PG-13)
The Terminal
I really liked it. Tom Hanks is great, as always. It made me really care about all of the characters.
13
Shrek 2 (2004,  PG)
Shrek 2
I like Shrek a little better than Shrek 2, but this movie is still great. Puss in Boots is hilarious. It has something for everyone.
14
Finding Neverland (2004,  PG)
Finding Neverland
I didn't know the "other" story of Peter Pan until I saw this movie.
15
Friday Night Lights (2004,  PG-13)
Friday Night Lights
It was really good. It is probably one of the best sports movies ever. Good acting by Thorton. All of the rest of the cast is pretty good too. I like how each player had their own back story to them. The ending is perfect. This movie deserves better than what people say about it.
16
The Passion of the Christ (2004,  R)
The Passion of the Christ
At first I was like "is this really it?" And then Mel Gibson's unique direction kicked in, and it was great. His graphic way of directing adds a whole new element to one of the best stories ever told.
17
Man on Fire (2004,  R)
Man on Fire
I loved the characters in this movie: Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning were both great. I liked how the director tried to be stylish, but sometimes I felt like it was almost TOO stylish. But I do appreciate that he was trying something different.
18
Sideways (2004,  R)
Sideways
It was very well done and definately deserves the acolades it garnered (wow, lots of big words). I liked all of the characters except Thomas Hayden Church's character. He was just not likeable. Virginia Madsen and Sandra Oh were great.
19
Hotel Rwanda (2004,  PG-13)
Hotel Rwanda
It is a very, very good movie. Don Cheadle was great. It did confuse me in a couple of spots, though.
20
Super Size Me (2004,  PG-13)
Super Size Me
It was a fascinating documentary. I don't know if I'll ever eat fast food again.
21
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004,  PG)
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events
A really good movie. Very underrated. Jim Carrey is soooo good as Count Olaf. The dark humor in this movie is hilarious.
22
Hellboy (2004,  PG-13)
Hellboy
This movie is hard to explain. It is a comic book movie, but it doesn't really feel like it. It's kind of like a mix between The Matrix, Men in Black, and Van Helsing. Hellboy is perfectly cast. My favorite character was Abe Sapien. He was really cool. The special effects aren't that great at times, but the character development in the movie makes up for it. It is definately underrated.
23
Shaun of the Dead (2004,  R)
Shaun of the Dead
A great parody that works as a movie on its own.
24
Garden State (2004,  R)
Garden State
Not great, but I want to see it again. Natalie Portman's character was great, but I wanted to like Zach Braff more.
25
Paper Clips (2004,  G)
Paper Clips
Paper Clips is an ordinary documentary chronicling the extraordinary efforts of a small Southern town in Tennessee. Though stylistically it is not impressive, the story is moving enough to keep the viewer's attention.
26
The Notebook (2004,  PG-13)
The Notebook
It is actually a really good movie. Rachel McAdams proves, once again, how great she is. She can do comedy (Mean Girls and Wedding Crashers), suspense (Red Eye), and now romance (The Notebook). She always picks good movies to do. This lived up to the hype, but it is not perfect.
27
Secret Window (2004,  PG-13)
Secret Window
Really good. I kept thinking that something scary was going to "pop out" but nothing ever really happened that was very scary. Anyway... Johnny Depp's performance is very strong. The twist will catch you completely off guard. This is a very unique suspense movie.
28
Anchorman - The Legend Of Ron Burgundy (2004,  PG-13)
Anchorman - The Legend Of Ron Burgundy
Anchorman scores lots of laughs.
29
Spanglish (2004,  PG-13)
Spanglish
A good movie. It has some good moments. I hated the mom by the end.
30
Closer (2004,  R)
Closer
Great acting, great script, and a great movie adapted from a great play.
31
In Good Company (2004,  PG-13)
In Good Company
I loved the first half, but the end was just okay. The situational irony is hilarious.
32
Ocean's Twelve (2004,  PG-13)
Ocean's Twelve
The first one was so much better, but the cast is really good. It's just a whole lot of fun to watch.
33
Alfie (2004,  R)
Alfie
A pleasant and enjoyable movie. At times, I felt that it dragged on, but I don't regret watching it.
34
I, Robot (2004,  PG-13)
I, Robot
It's one of those "humantity's inventions come back to bite it in the butt" movies that makes you think.
35
National Treasure (2004,  PG)
National Treasure
I love the "figure the puzzles out" style, but it borrows too much from The Da Vinci Code.
36
The Village (2004,  PG-13)
The Village
I actually like this movie, and it has a great soundtrack. Some of the dialogue, however, is really terrible. I really liked the ending, even though everyone else hates it.
37
Troy (2004,  R)
Troy
It was pretty good... definately worth a watch. I just wish that they would have made Odysseus a more major character. Brad Pitt was pretty great as the great warrior Achilles.
38
Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004,  R)
Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle
Moderately funny.
39
The Polar Express (2004,  G)
The Polar Express
It's a good movie to watch every Christmas. The elves are kind of Nazi-like and creepy, and the songs aren't that great, but I think it will probably become a holiday perennial film. Robert Zemeckis's motion capture technology has a long way to go if he ever wants to make traditional animation obsolete. The characters' expressions are bland and boring because of this premature technology. I have a love-hate relationship with this movie.
40
13 Going on 30 (Suddenly 30) (2004,  PG-13)
13 Going on 30 (Suddenly 30)
It was a pretty good movie. The romance was good, and Jennifer Garner is great.
41
50 First Dates (2004,  PG-13)
50 First Dates
Adam Sandler is usually annoying, but it was actually good.
42
The Phantom of the Opera (2004,  PG-13)
The Phantom of the Opera
This is a story meant for the stage. The film comes across as cheesy, long, and tedious. But the music is great, and it's somewhat watchable. P.S. Why did they hire Joel "Batman & Robin" Schumacher to direct this?
43
Shall We Dance (2004,  PG-13)
Shall We Dance
Shall We Dance is an all-around okay film. The ending was well-done.
44
Jersey Girl (2004,  PG-13)
Jersey Girl
Better than I was expecting, but not great. It was a predictable, yet nice little movie.
45
Napoleon Dynamite (2004,  PG)
Napoleon Dynamite
I give it three stars for originality.
46
Fat Albert (2004,  PG)
Fat Albert
HEY! HEY! HEY! This movie is suprisingly original and funny.
47
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004,  PG)
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
It's really innovative: it was the first movie with completely CGI backgrounds. And it has an entertaining story, too.
48
Loverboy (2004,  R)
Loverboy
A surprisingly well-made drama with a stunning ending.
49
Along Came Polly (2004,  PG-13)
Along Came Polly
Very funny, but the plot is kind of weird.
50
Raising Helen (2004,  PG-13)
Raising Helen
It was actually a good movie. It was, however, a little too long.
51
The Girl Next Door (2004,  R)
The Girl Next Door
This movie was surprisingly okay.
52
Dawn of the Dead (2004,  R)
Dawn of the Dead
A surprisingly solid zombie film.
53
The Manchurian Candidate (2004,  R)
The Manchurian Candidate
An interesting psychological thriller.
54
Saw (2004,  R)
Saw
This movie is overrated by almost everyone, but that doesn't mean I didn't kind of enjoy it. The twist ending is clever, but some of the camerwork and acting is cheesy.
55
Cellular (2004,  PG-13)
Cellular
A clever thriller that is a cheesy guilty pleasure. The "day spa" guy is pretty funny. Good action scenes.
56
Meet The Fockers (2004,  PG-13)
Meet The Fockers
The first one is better, but it doesn't follow the trend of terrible sequels.
57
Bridget Jones - The Edge of Reason (2004,  R)
Bridget Jones - The Edge of Reason
Though I think this sequel was unneeded, it is still entertaining enough to recommend.
58
The Day After Tomorrow (2004,  PG-13)
The Day After Tomorrow
The special effects are awesome, but the plot is kind of shaky.
59
King Arthur (2004,  PG-13)
King Arthur
I liked it. It could have been better, though. The battles were refreshingly new, and do not recycle the trends of battle sequences in other movies. The cast was good, especially Clive Owen as King Arthur. I really like the theme music. I'm not sure where history ends and the legend begins, but it's lots of fun along the way.
60
Miracle (2004,  PG)
Miracle
It's an okay sports story. It is very inspirational.
61
Ladder 49 (2004,  PG-13)
Ladder 49
It was an okay movie. Joaquin Phoenix is a great actor, but he is too good for this movie. I didn't like the love story. Oddly enough, I liked the ending (which you will find weird that I did once you watch the movie).
62
Dodgeball - A True Underdog Story (2004,  PG-13)
Dodgeball - A True Underdog Story
Dodgeball scores a few laughs.
63
The Spongebob Squarepants Movie (2004,  PG)
The Spongebob Squarepants Movie
It's really weird. But it's funny enough to be an okay movie.
64
The Stepford Wives (2004,  PG-13)
The Stepford Wives
I guess I liked it. It was very weird and creepy, but that is what made it entertaining.
65
Flight of the Phoenix (2004,  PG-13)
Flight of the Phoenix
I liked it. It wasn't terrible. I'm glad that I wasn't trapped with them!
66
The Forgotten (2004,  PG-13)
The Forgotten
The set-up is great, but the end kind of let me down. Julianne Moore is great in it.
67
Without A Paddle (2004,  PG-13)
Without A Paddle
An okay comedy with some funny moments.
68
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004,  R)
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
Boring, stupid, and unfunny.
69
Taxi (2004,  PG-13)
Taxi
It was just okay. I like Queen Latifah and Jimmy Falon, but the plot wasn't quite there for me.
70
Garfield - The Movie (2004,  PG)
Garfield - The Movie
It's okay, but I fell asleep. I don't think I missed much.
71
The Princess Diaries 2 - Royal Engagement (2004,  G)
The Princess Diaries 2 - Royal Engagement
Not as good as the clever first one.
72
Home on the Range (2004,  PG)
Home on the Range
It is terrible that Disney made their last traditionally-animated movie this bad. The characters are okay, I guess.
73
Mr. 3000 (2004,  PG-13)
Mr. 3000
I really can NOT stand Bernie Mac. He really annoys me. I liked the movie concept, but it just wasn't done right.
74
Johnson Family Vacation (2004,  PG-13)
Johnson Family Vacation
It was pretty stupid. I don't like that Cedric the Entertainer guy (what a stupid name!).
75
Van Helsing (2004,  PG-13)
Van Helsing
Not a good movie at all. The action scenes are all well thought out, but I just didn't like it. The ending was just okay. It was too long.
76
Shark Tale (2004,  PG)
Shark Tale
It's a cheap rip-off of Finding Nemo.
77
Christmas with the Kranks (2004,  PG)
Christmas with the Kranks
It ruined the book for me (which I liked).
78
Starsky & Hutch (2004,  PG-13)
Starsky & Hutch
I absolutely hated it! It wasn't funny at all, and Snoop Dogg is completely stupid.
79
The Grudge (2004,  PG-13)
The Grudge
I admit... I did jump a couple of times. But it was so cheesy, corny, and stupid that I wanted to laugh out loud. The noise the stupid Japanese kids make is hilarious.
80
Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004,  PG)
Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen
Why did I watch this twice? Terrible!
81
New York Minute (2004,  PG)
New York Minute
It was pretty bad. The plot is nowhere to be found, and all they do is go to random hair salons to get new hairdos.
82
Catwoman (2004,  PG-13)
Catwoman
Bring back Michelle Pfeiffer! This is one of the most poorly made films I have ever seen. The action scenes are stupid and boring, the special effects were terrible, the script was unintentionally funny, and why don't they ever talk about Gotham City? Oh, and it has the worst "evil conspiracy" ever: using make-up products to kill people and take over the world. I'm glad I watched it on AMC and didn't waste a cent on it.
