Rescue Dawn (2006, PG-13)
Herzog sigue siendo Herzog... pero el final como que desmerece... o quizá solo es que me lo pela... aunque se adecúa a la historia de alguna forma. Por lo demás, sus imágenes y parajes siguen hablando con su propia fuerza, y la forma alegórica y caprichosa de la narrativa crean un todo con vida y lenguaje de mucho poder. |

Impregna su carácter épico con la melancolía de la historia española tal cual sucedió, y genera héroes creíbles y queribles. Su única debilidad es la propensidad hacia los clichés narrativos propios de los géneros de los que toma prestado. / Raw and inspired fable that plays out well balanced between fantasy and a moving sociopolitical subtext. Impregnates its epic tone with the melancholy of Spaniard history as it happened, and generates heroes who are credible and deserving of our empathy. Only shows weakness in its propensity to use in its narrative cliches very common to the genres from which it borrows. |
