A Mighty Heart (2007,  R)
A Mighty Heart
"Angelina Jolie" Gives her most commanding performance ever.

"A Mighty Heart" is a Tradgic retelling of the Death of Reporter "Daniel Pearl", Based on the book by His wife "Mariane Pearl".

Jolie puts on the performance of a life time in this shocking picture, by "MIchael Winterbottom,(Road to Guantonnamo Bay).

Jolie avoids all the critical negative of the past, by recreating her role, and turning it into whole another dimension of acting.

Jolie is faced with alot of scenes, full of touching, heart breaking drama, and emotions that she replicates, and turns into another state of conciousness, and higher emotions.

This film was a Pheonomanel. I watched it and I didn't take my eyes off the screen once. This is a shocking , sometimes Tear-Jerking feeling drama, that is amazing, and thought stirring.

I give it Four out Four Stars".I Might have to say this is a perfect film!
Highly and Strongly Reccomended. Watch it as soon as you again, It's Good!

Changeling (2008,  R)
Changeling
Jolie doesn't just create an emotional, caring mother, but recreates the whole role and turns her into a commanding-for-action, Will not take no for answer, quit giving me the run around type of woman you rarely see, but wish you did more often.

Jolie is exceptionally well rounded in this film, with no unessacery acting, or movements. She takes Christine Collins, and turns herself into that charcter.

I was really pleased with eastwood's direction, and Jolie's chemistry, with him. If they made a second film, It would most likely be a box office sensation.

As close to a perfect film as you can get "Four out of Four" Stars.
Strongly Reccomended

Zodiac (2007,  R)
Zodiac
Fincher does many things well when directing. Suspense,Violent Art Direction, and daring, but masterfully created storytelling.

I know this film is 157 minutes, but it doesn't nearly seem as long. This film is very differen then normal cop-thrillers, cause it defys the competition with no car chases, or major gun fights, but actually follows police procedure, and the true side of murder-homicide investigation. It spirals in and out of control throughout the entire film, blasting something new at you every other scene. This is some of Fincher's best work.

I strongly reccomend you see this film, unless you get scared easily, or are easily sqeumish.

Peaceful Warrior (2006,  PG-13)
Peaceful Warrior
Dan Millman's Word-of-Mouth Bestselling (Somewhat-Falsafied Autobiography)finnaly comes to the screen after 26 years after being written.Victor Salva turns this seemingly low-budget sports-drama film into a Beautiful told sports-drama masterpiece.

This film is like a work of art and where almost every scene is beautiful, in some way or another. "Peaceful Warrior" isn't going to affect those who need change, but want change and are willing to negotiate change in their lives. In one regard, "Peaceful Warrior" did change my live life, by opening my mind and heart to thinking about the present and not dwelling on the past.

Yet, just like the book this film is a film that you wonder if this story is prudently falsesified or only half truth, but then you have already gone through the movie and come to believe every word that you once thought silly, and inane!

This was a film in which It regresses from the Climax or High point and the goes back to show the viewers how they got to that climax, or high point. It wasn't a great all-around flick like "Rounders", but it is definetly a good movie.
"Three out of Three" Stars. A slight Reccomendation.

Bat*21 (Bat 21) (1988,  R)
Bat*21 (Bat 21)
I saw this when a friend let me watch some burnt dvd's he had. I noticed it said "Gene Hackman" and "Danny Glover", so I put "Bat 21" in my DVD player.
I was in for a major suprise. An unheard of Movie Special!
This film is so AMAZING. I have underestimated myself, and have learned to give some unheard of movies a try. This film is sheer Moviegoing-Bliss. Pure Action-War Entertainment.

Friday Night Lights (2004,  PG-13)

October Sky (1999,  PG)
October Sky
May I ask a question first, before I begin my review? Is there any film in which Lauren Dern couldn't change the way she acted to make herself one of the most revered actress of the ninety's, or ever?

Chris Cooper and Upcoming star Jake Gyllenhaal starred in this 1998 Biograhy about NASA Engineer Homor Hickham.

Homor Hickham doesn't want to mine coal, and can't play football. He then sees Sputnik streak across the sky. Evryone laughs at his dream. Everyone except Miss riley, his teacher.

With the help of his secretly dying teacher Miss Riley, She dared them to dream, and leave their coal mining town in search of a better life, not on the gridiron, or in the mines of coalwood, and for Homor, Maybe Cape Canaveral.

This film is emotional and doesn't ask for sadness, or regret, but commands for hopes and dreams, and that everlasting quest to find and reach yours.

This movie had Deep Values.
