I?m surprised that so many people rated this movie so bad, please read for further details... To me, it felt more realistic than most vampire stories. What would it be like to wake up in a morgue, how would you handle it or deal with it? This is the story about a reporter who did a story on the underground goth scene and ended up digging too deep. She was left for dead and is now working her way up the chain of command to the one her killed her. Most of the traditional ideas we have about vampires aren?t true in this movie, and I think that?s probably why so many people hated it. Although they left in a few, it would probably have been better to stick with just drinking blood. If you are paying attention, then you will know who the Alchemist is and what his story is in the movie. All in all not the greatest vampire flick out there, it doesn?t have super effects and the vampires aren?t all powerful, but not as bad as many would lead you to believe.

I had been looking forward to this movie for years and years. I can?t say I was disappointed, but holy crap has times changed since the original. Lot?s of nudity and cheesy gore. I absolutely loved it! And perhaps that was the point-for us old school fans. I sure wouldn?t recommend it for a teenage audience and I?m pretty sure my mum wouldn?t have let me seen the original when it first came out if it was anything like this one. The only downside was Angus Sutherland-he was a rather annoying head vampire-he talks funny and that annoyed me, definitely not as cool as Kiefer. Also-check out the special features!
5 outta 5, fricken luved it

Perfect Creature
A different kind of vampire movie. Not as different as Rise: Blood Hunter, but different. I guess the main thing that really annoyed me about this movie was the setting-it looked like a cross between the 1800?s and mid 1900?s (it?s based in an alternate reality-which I realized after watching the movie from reading the description). I think it would have been better if they had done a futuristic or more modern setting (because of the whole vampires were created by messing w/genetics). The conspiracy factor was there-Big Brother being a Vampire society, they could have played more on that too. I don?t know, you watch it and see how you feel.
4 outta 5, lacking something but still had neat vampire effects
