Interview with the Vampire (1994, R)
A great vampire movie. Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise both give great performances in this film. The film is based off of a novel. I have never read the novel but the film was quite good. The story of a man turned to a vampire and we follow his life through the ages and his encounters with other vampires. The film has interesting characters and gives more of a solid story then some vampire films. Worth checking out for vampire film fans. |

Seven (Se7en) (1995, R)
This is a great thriller about two cops who are trying to solve murders of a serial killer involving the seven deadly sins. The film has great performances from Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey. The film has great cinematography. Plus the story and look of the film is very dark and creepy. Plus one of the best endings to a film. A must see. |

Twelve Monkeys (12 Monkeys) (1995, R)
This is a good Sci-fi film. The story is about a man sent back in time to find out how a virus was unleashed on earth and killed most of mankind. Of course he is treated as a complete mental case and is thrown into a mental insitute. The film stars Bruce Willis, Brad Pitt and Madeleine Stowe. Brad Pitt gives a awesome performance as a mental patient. The story is decent and the characters interesting to make for a good movie. Loved the ending twist to this film. Well worth checking out. |

The Devil's Own (1997, R)
This is a decent thriller. Basically a young IRA gunmen goes to the USA to get some weapons to bring back to Ireland for the resistance. He stays with a Irish American family. The father is a cop and is unaware this young man has anything to do with the IRA till later in the film. Overall I found this to be a enjoyable film. Harrison Ford gives a great performance as usual. I thought Brad Pitt was also quite good. He did a good job on the Irish accent. Plus the film has a good supporting cast. The story is well done and has some great characters. A film worthy of watching. |

Fight Club (1999, R)
This is a great quirky movie. Brad Pitt and Edward Norton both give top notch performances. The story and the characters make this such a fun watch. The story takes bits of comedy and darkness and madness and blends them together for a great film. Plus what a great twist of a ending. Well worth a watch. |

Snatch (2001, R)
This is a great movie. My all time favorite Brad Pitt performance. It is hard to understand what he is saying throughout the film. You have to watch it a few times to understand what he says in the film. Almost feels like a sequel to Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. A great crime comedy. Guy Ritchie agains directs a great film and mixes up the comedy with the gritty violence and crime very well. A great cast once more for Ritchie to work with. Some great visual shots in the film. I really enjoyed the Brad Pitt boxing match scene with the Oasis song "Fuckin in the Bushes" as the background music. That was a well shot scene. Overall I enjoyed the film and never get bored watching it. A classic film. |

Troy (2004, R)
This is a great epic movie. Based off of the story the Iliad by Homer the film is about the assault on Troy. The film is full of great action and battle scenes. Plus a great cast in this with Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom, Sean Bean and Brian Cox. The film is a big production with big battles, big F/X and a big cast. What is not to like from this movie. There are better epic movies out there but this film does it's job for entertainment. If you enjoyed films such as Braveheart or Gladiator then you should check this film out. |

Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005, PG-13)
This is a good action comedy. Basically about two assassins who are married to each other but both do not realize they both do the same job and are actually competing with each other for kills. The film has some very funny scenes and tons of action and fight sequences. There was lots of hype to this film since Brad and Angelina became a couple during and after the film was made. They both do a good job in their roles. Seem to have good chemistry in the movie. I have seen better films then this. But it was entertaining. Not as good as all the hype around it though. Worth a watch. |

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007, R)
This is a great western film based on the real events and life of Outlaw Jesse James and Robert"the Coward" Ford. First off the film was beautifully shot. From the images to the darkness of the film and the period of the film was great. The film also as a great cast. Brad Pitt was excellent as Jesse James. Casey Affleck gives one of his best ever performances as Robert Ford. Plus a good supporting role from Sam Rockwell. The film may seem slow in parts but I found the characters are so well potrayed and the content was interesting to keep me watching. After watching the film I read up on the history of Jesse James and Robert Ford. The film is pretty near accurate to the history and how the characters were preceived. Overall a must see film for fans who enjoy westerns or just those who like real event based films. |
