Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007, R)
Okay, here?s how it is. This movie is downright the best Tim Burton has to offer. I am simply in awe at the quality of this piece of work. I haven?t seen this kind of perfection since Edward Scissor Hands. Yes, the special effects are a little, minimal, but isn?t that what makes it so wonderful, the fact that our minds can fill the gap between the illusion and the reality and see the legitimacy of the film for what it is. Oh, how sweet it is. Or as those Guinness guys, in the commercials, would say, ?BRILLIANT!!? |
