I generally don't like to build movies up- especially comedys, because then I wind up dissiapointed because I expect too much by the time I see them. I am not going to build this one up for people debating on seeing this film, I will tell you: *they didn't put all the funny parts in the trailor- there is more, *the acting is entertaining- although Ray Liota could have done better in my opinion. Oh, that reminds me, don't go bolting out of the theatre the second credits begin to roll, there is a little bit more of the movie contained in the credit reel. The soundtrack on this flick was great- I would reccommend buyin it. The sets and location shots were beautiful. (made me want to hop in my car and go driving) Costume and makeup department did a GREAT job, especially considering they had to deal with tattoo's on a bunch of the cast. (I especially got a kick out of Macey's tattoo)
Ok, now the meat of this. If you have kids that you are debating on bringing to see this, I know it says Disney... but unless you are prepared to deal with homosexual situational comments/questions hold off - unless your kids are prepared or too young to notice such things. There are also a few moments of brief nudity (butt shots). I found those a plus, but not so much for some kids out there.
Bottom line this is rated PG-13 for a reason. (MPAA: PG13 for crude & sexual content, and some violence) Parents, know your 13 year old before you say yes, better yet... go see the flick with them (even if you don't sit together- you are both going to enjoy the film)This would make a great date movie, older family movie, family movie with a sleeping baby movie... etc. I saw it with a small group of friends at an early showing and we were laughing out loud throughout the flick as well as talking on our cel phones all the way home about it. This is a fun movie that won't be winning any awards down the line- well possibly MTV/peoples choice types but that is about it. I am planning on dragging a few more people to see it later today. Enjoy!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007,  PG-13)
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 4.0 Stars
***NO SPOILERS***

As with any book to film (Harry Potter being no exception) things have to get cut. I think what was trimmed in order to make the movie was wise as usual - those not reading the books would have no clue they are missing anything. I think that this "episode" was one of the most involved I have been in a Potter flick yet and is a great set up for the next film/book. Yes it was a darker movie than the others-so was the book. I have enjoyed seeing the kids grow up in this franchise and there were great cinematic reminders throughout the movie. I think that "the Order of the Phoenix" is going to get mixed reviews, but years down the road when the library of Potter films are looked at in their entirety this film will be recognized as a turning /growing up /advancing /major character development point for many of the "students" who from now on won't be the same.

Kudos to everyone who continues to bring Harry Potter to life and make the franchise thrive.
