E.T is a classic masterpiece from legendary director Steven Spielberg. This is definitely one of the most personal films that have ever been put to screen in film history. This film isnt just a magical family sci-fi film because of the story it is also because of the outstanding music that is used in this film. The music sounds like it can easily melt someones heart of just simply make them cry. The music is best when E.T makes the bike fly for the first time while he and Elliott are on it. Also it is a classic scene but particularly the classic image where the flying bike is crossing the moon. One of the greatest family phenomenons of all time. It is a film that made me cry, not because that E.T had to return home but simply because of the pure magic of the E.T character and the cute friendship between him and Elliott. I think the acting from the young kids were absolutely brilliant. Henry Thomas?s performance as Elliott was good for a kid but could have been a bit better. Robert MacNaughtons performance as Michael was really good aswell. Drew Barrymores as Gertie made her become a really popular actress. Also, she was only like 4 years old or something when this film was released. The rest of the acting from the cast like Dee Wallace, Peter Coyote and K.C. Martel were good aswell. This is definitely my favourite Steven Spielberg film and my favourite family film aswell. This is definitely a perfect example on friendship and love. There are only 8 other films that have touched me like this film has. They are Mrs. Doubtfire, Singin In The Rain, Casablanca, Pinocchio, Edward Scissorhands, Forrest Gump, Sweeney Todd and Titanic.

Shrek
(2001, PG)

Hilarious! Best of the three. Love Shrek and Donkeys partnership. Love that how annoying Shrek gets with him, Donkey doesnt mean it. I would hate to be mates with Shrek and Donkey. Because they would be really hard to get on with. As far as Shrek and Fionas relationship is concerned, at first I thought what chance would a ugly, grumpy ogre have against a beautiful princess?! It is quite like Beauty And The Beast. Mike Myers Scottish accent (same voice as Fat Bastard from Austin Powers trilogy) is perfect for Shrek. Cameron Diazs voice for Fiona is brilliant aswell. So is Eddie Murphys as Donkey. One of the funniest family films of all time. I have watched this film more than 500 times before. I think I saw this film at the cinema. When I saw this film trailer when I went to see Monsters, Inc I thought this looks funny but not a classic comedy series of films. But when I watched it I thought it was amazing. That is why this is my second favourite animated film of all time because it is just hilarious. I love the characters of Shrek and Donkey. Shrek is mean and grumpy yet kind-hearted in some ways but Donkey is just really annoying and never shuts up.

Julie Andrews was brilliant as magical nanny Mary Poppins. She definately deserved her Oscar. Dick Van Dyke should have had an Oscar nomination. I think it is Julie Andrews most famous film role along with Maria in the Sound Of Music. This is definately one of the most heartwarming masterpieces of all time that can touch peoples hearts in every single way.

I love this trilogy. It is without a doubt the best one of the three because you learn how funny Jack Sparrow can be and also getting to know and understand all of the other characters. It is absolutely hilarious. I love Jack Sparrow fighting Will Turner in the blacksmith shop where Will works, he makes laugh because he has good intentions but is always in bad luck. Also, that he is very annoying at times and a very bad liar. I would have to say Jack Sparrow is one of the most famous film characters of all time. Can't have any other actor in the world to play Captain Jack Sparrow than Johnny Depp simple as that because he plays that sort of character that makes everyone laugh and because he does that this trilogy has become a family series. Depp steals the show, but leaves some plunder for Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, surely the sexiest young couple in British cinema nay, the world. Orlando plays it straight but gets the girl; and if you think Keira looks good in a dress, wait until you see her running around in redcoat and breeches. Year after year, lazy poster quotes try to convince audiences that the latest blockbuster movie is "a rollercoaster ride".
Pirates Of The Caribbean does, in actual fact, have its roots in a theme park attraction a slow-moving boat trip past richly detailed tableaux of lusty buccaneers and skeletons who breathed their last grasping for forbidden treasure; not the most likely base material to turn into cinema gold. But producer Jerry Bruckheimer proves yet again that he's a big-screen alchemist where sheer entertainment is concerned. Pirates Of The Caribbean is, without a doubt, the best blockbuster of the summer. Johnny, the kids and the pirates have a number-one hit on their hands. They raise the Jolly Roger and make other summer blockbusters walk the plank.

Most people would say that this is the greatest animated film of all time. I think most critics and viewers think that because of the plot in general and the film sort of argues with nature that children destroy toys and get bored of them in which they really do. Also some of the toys in the film are real life toys like Mr. Potato Head, Woody, Buzz and toys like Rex, Slinky, Hamm and the barbies which appear in the sequel. Also the general board games involved like Battleship which Hamm and Mr. Potato Head play together and also the card games aswell. This is without a doubt one of the greatest family films ever made. Another reason why I love this film is because it has my favourite actor Tom Hanks voiced as Woody. This is my fifth favourite PIXAR film. This film is a legend and as popular as ever just like the sequel. I used to have all of the toys of this film and still have them somewhere in my house of Woody and Buzz Lightyear. I couldnt stop watching this film when I was a little kid and still love it now. Always have and always will.

Love all of the songs in the film. Favourite song from film has to be "Hakuna Matata" because I love it when Simba, Timon and Pumbaa join forces and become best friends. Love Scar and hate him aswell because his character is so good and hate his because he is so horrible. The best scene has to be the scene with the wildebeest stampede because it is fun but when it finishes a tragedy occurs and it changes the whole film completely. The music is really spin-chilling in this film aswell. One of greatest musicals not to mention one of greatest animated films of all time.

Michael J. Fox is perfect for Marty McFly. Doc Brown is brilliant aswell. Really well acted by Christopher Lloyd. I like Doc more than Marty because Doc invents the time machine and he wants to be a famous scientist/inventor but makes me laugh because he sometimes gets things wrong and cant fix things off something that he created himself. The time machine is something that everybody would wish for. No wonder it was such a classic. I love the story. Very good example of a family film. Awesome visual effects, art direction and costumes. Good writing aswell. Funny that Martys mother had the hots for him. Though that that was funny. Biff makes me laugh aswell because he is a bit of an idiot even though he is a vile bully.

This film was good but not as good as the new Tim Burton one in my opinion. I dont think that the costumes, acting or the art direction wasnt as creative and good as the Tim Burton version. Gene Wilder was good as Willy Wonka but I prefered Johnny Depps role as Willy Wonka. This was still a good film though.

An absolutely awesome film. Worst of the original trilogy but not worst of all of them. Episode 2 and episode 1 are the worst. The acting in this is good from Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher. But quite disappointing from Mark Hamill. The plot is excellent but not as good as Episodes 5 and 6. Sir Alec Guinness did very well in his Oscar nominated performance as Obi-Wan Kenobi. I am not surprised that Alec Guinness did want to star in a sci fi after he has been alot of past classics but when the entire saga became a legendary series. I am not sure whether Alec Guinness was happy with his Oscar nomination but he deserved it though. This film will be a classic for many many generations to come.

After watching this film for the second time, this film has definately become one of my all-time favourite films. The acting was superb in this film. Judy Garland was good in this film even though I dont really like her that much. The rest of the cast who portray Tinman, Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion are brilliant in this film aswell. The visual effects were absolutely fantastic for a film which was made in 1939. The art direction, costume design and make-up was brilliant aswell. This features some of the greatest movie songs of all time. My favourite is Over The Rainbow because it is a peaceful song that stays in your heart. This film brings out the magic and the fun that touches everyones hearts. Also, The Wizard Of Oz is a plot that people can imagine in their heads as a fantasy not just with the fantasy world of Oz but the pure magic of the film in general and the characters within the film aswell. This is one of my favourite musicals of all time and it is probably one of the most famous family films and musicals ever made.

Ian McKellen should have won Best Supporting Actor for this film. This one is brilliant because it is the start of the journey and you learn about the Ring, Sauron and Gollum aswell. The art and the cinematography was brilliant on this film. And so was the visual effects and make-up particularly on the hobbits, Nazgul, and the fighting scene in Moria. This was my favourite film before I watched the other two films. I Dont know how many times I have watched this. Lord Of The Rings is my favourite film series ever. It is really tense when the Nazgul trying to find the Ring!! It was really tense at the cinema. I was only ten when I watched it. Love the end scene because it was truly when the trilogy came alive and got more tense and exciting!! It is probably the most adventurous film series of all time!! That is probably why it won lots of oscars. That it looks so serious and realistic even though it is a fantasy trilogy. Saruman The White is an amazing film villain because he is a good wizard gone bad, Christopher Lee's Saruman turns his back on the plight of man and chucks his lot with the Dark Lord of Mordor - a sort of magic Mussolini to Sauron's Hitler. His war ends just as messily, too.

Most people would say that his and Toy Story are the best PIXAR films because it is funny and it proves points too within the film. Also, I think it is the funniest PIXAR film because in a way it is like Shrek. Like Shrek has to rescue Fiona when Donkey is with him and is really annoying. But with Finding Nemo, Marlin has to rescue Nemo while Dory annoys him too even though neither Dory or Donkey mean to do it. I loved seeing all the fish swimming in the water and all the other creatures like the sharks, jellyfish and the whale. Also, the seagulls and peillicans in the harbor. Even though it is the funniest PIXAR, but I didn't enjoy it as much as Ratatouille though!! After you see at the beginning of the film, there is a question that will want answered really quickly. After what happened with his lover (Nemo's mother), will Marlin ever let Nemo grow up and be his own fish? When Nemo was desperate to go to school it was like a total dream for him because he cant go anywhere without his dad because Marlin is very overprotective over Nemo. One of the best films of 2003. My second favourite PIXAR movie.

I really enjoyed the first of the seventh film from the series. Harry Potter is truly a family masterpiece. The visual effects are outstanding. The best scene is definitely the scene with the giant chessboard. I also like the Forbidden Forest and the Sorting Hat scene aswell. The art is the best of out all of the films so far. The music is really cool aswell because it is a tense soundtrack and has a light and dark side to it. I would have given this film as a rating 96 and a 5 star but I didnt because I dont Daniel Radcliffes acting in this film wasnt very good at all. Daniel Radcliffe has made a big improvement when he was in Order Of The Phoenix. The best actor from the film was Robbie Coltrane as Hagrid. I thought that Richard Harris was brilliant as Dumbledore. He was better than Michael Gambon is. It is weird that when you watch Order Of The Phoenix and then this, that all of the kids in it like Dan, Rupert and Emma looks really young, like 10-13 years old and now they are like 17-20 years old. I think this is the worst of all the Harry Potter films. But I think this is the biggest blockbuster out of them all. I remember when I first saw this film at the cinema; me and my younger sister dressed up as Harry and Hermione with the cloaks and the wands and everything. I was 10 years old and my sister Molly was 8 years old. I think this is the scariest one out of them all because you see a man with two heads and a man in a cloak sucking blood from the neck of a unicorn.

Probably the most famous musical ever made. My third favourite musical after Sweeney Todd and Moulin Rouge!. John Travoltas best film in my opinion but some people would say either this, Saturday Night Fever or Pulp Fiction. All of the songs in this film are so catchy. My favourite song is GREASED LIGHTNING when Danny and the rest of the T-Bird gang are in the garage making a car. John Travolta plays this character so well. The hard thing about the Danny Zuko character is that he tries to impress his friends by acting really cool but he is in love with a total nerd like Sandy. This film should have been nominated for Best Picture for the 1978 Academy Awards. Olivia Newton-John And Stockard Channing were brilliant in this masterpiece aswell. Rizzo has like a male haircut and looks a little bit like a man but she is a real girly person and is such a charming girl. She can easily seduce men. In some ways this film is like battle of the sexes between the two gender gangs (males) T-Birds and (females) Pink Ladies.

The Incredibles is an awesome fantasy action-packed thrill ride with alot of character and alot of hilarious humour and jkokes within the characters in this film. The best characters in my opinion are Edna Mode aka E who is voiced by director Brad Bird. She is a character who has a very serious job for the superheroes but brings her size voice and personality into the comedy of the film. When she helps Bob design a suit for him and his family and also when she tells Helen of Bobs whereabouts things within the film completely turn around. Bobs Insuricare boss Gilbert Huph is another character that changed alot of things in the film. Because he is a really small man and he pressurises Bob in his job and because of that Bob hates him so mch. The turning point in that character is when Bob throws Huph through 5 walls and gets fired. That changes alot aswell. It is superb that all of the Parr family have completely different sort of powers. I love Brad Birds work in this film and the Iron Giant. But I particularly love his work in Ratatouille. Brad Bird is my 8th favourite director. This film is my fourth favourite PIXAR film.

This is without a doubt of the most magical and heart warming family films of all time. The songs are just pure magic with alot of class. My favourite song is MY FAVOURITE THINGS. The names of the songs are just great and so are the lyrics of the songs aswell. One of my favourite musicals of all time. The magic of the film when Julie Andrews and the Von Trapp family are singing it almost makes me cry. It makes me feel great this film does. Not one of favourite films but not far off though. Julie Andrews gives another outstanding performance as Maria. But her performance was better in Mary Poppins.

I love Kaa, Shere Khan and Baloo. Also, love the Bare Necessities song too. Probably one of the best Disney song of all time. It's a slight tale, of course, and incredibly short, but the characters and songs are pretty much perfect viewing time and again.

This one is the best one of the original trilogy but unsure whether I will enjoy Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull more. Harrison Ford in his finest film with his finest acting aswell in this masterpiece from Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. The action is the best in this one than the other two. Karen Allen was awesome as Marion Ravenwood. I cant wait to see her return in Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. This one is more adventurous in my opinion than Temple Of Doom and Last Crusade. This film is Steven Spielberg at his finest. One of his best films ever.

What an awesome Christmas classic this is. This film is absolutely hilarious especially when the two burglars are trying to get into the house and all of the traps that were laid for them. Macaulay Culkin was brilliant as Kevin at 10 years old. The film is quite tense aswell but in a humourous way. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are hilarious as the two burglars Harry and Marv. Must have been hard for Kevin to look after himself and do all of the parent jobs himself and on his own. A classic family masterpiece from Mrs. Doubtfire and Harry Potter 1 and 2 director.

Wicked songs. My Favourites are 'Gaston' and 'Beauty And The Beast'. It is probably the best Disney animated film of all time. It became the first and only animated film ever to have been nominated Best Picture for the Academy Awards. Love the characters particularly Beast's servants in the castle like Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip and Wardrobe. This film proves that it is better that someone should love a person for who they are rather than appearance, whereas other people would look for both personality and looks. I have watched this film hundreds of times. I loved it when I was a little kid. It is unique that the Beast is a mean, vile piece of work at the start but then he becomes a gentle, warm-hearted person in the end. Gaston is a cool Disney villain because he wants power over the town by marrying the most beautiful girl in the town. And also when he does something bad or wrong he ends up hitting his little sidekick LeFou because he is a bit of an idiot and he is alot smaller than Gaston is. LeFou reminds me alot of Smee from Peter Pan.

It Was Good!! I Expected It To Be A Bit More Adventurous!! Sean Astin And Josh Brolin Were Amazing But It Was A Bit Slow Like They Didn't Enter The Magical Land Until Like 45 Mins Through The Film!! A Good Family Film That Everyone Will Enjoy!!

Hilarious. Every single word of the film made me laugh. As class as the short films. Throughout the whole film, there are always jokes and hilarious moments. Favourite bit is when Wallace sucks up the rabbits from the field into his machine called the Bunvak 6000. Can't wait for new short film this xmas. I hope they don't do another Wallace And Gromit full-length feature film because I think it will totally fuck it up. It is really clever that in A Grand Day Out, the viewers can easily the finger prints and the hand marks on Wallace and Gromit from the animators of the production. But in this film, most of it is hand-made movements, but there are also alot of computer-animated movements in it aswell.

An absolutely hilarious film. This is probably what made Robin Williams such a famous actor along with The Birdcage, Aladdin, Jumanji, Good Will Hunting and Dead Poets Society. Brilliant make-up. The film deserved its Oscar for the award. I bet the mask and the body suit that Robin had to wear was very uncomfortable. It is brilliant that Robin Williams can use different accents and imitate people. Accents like Scottish (Mrs. Doubtfires voice), German, Spanish and Swedish. I think Robin Williams looks pretty cool as a lady. Ha ha!! Sally Field and Pierce Brosnan were good in it too. And so were the kids. Will probably be one of the funniest family films ever for generations to come. This film makes me laugh every single time I watch it.

Love Mike, Sulley and Boo. Not the best PIXAR but good story. It is great that two best friends are risking everything just to save one little girl. Brighter and more exuberant than Shrek, this would be a worthy winner of the first animation Oscar. However, minus John Lasseters distinctive sensibility, Monsters, Inc. skews slightly younger than the Toy Story movies. Adults may find the script two or three jokes short of classic status.

This is an excellent film based on Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist. The songs in this film are absolutely awesome. The acting is superb particularly from Ron Moody and Jack Wild. The directing was excellent and so was the art direction and costume design. Not favourite Charles Dickens novel though. As far as the songs are concerned I think they are very similar the both The Sound Of Music and The Wizard Of Oz. Mark Lester should get back into the acting business like he did as a child. As far as the Oliver Twist character is concerned it is quite similar to James from the Roald Dahl novel James And The Giant Peach. Not only because they are both orphans but they both wanted to be treated respectfully by kind stepparents and they both want to have a normal life like a normal child and want to achieve their wishes by hoping. Classic musical that will be remembered forever.

A lovely warm-hearting family film involving courage, love and friendship. I think Genie is amazing. He is absolutely hilarious. I would love to have powers like that. But not become a Genie. Oscar worthy songs (Especially "A Whole New World").One of the most successful animated features ever; easy to see why. Visually, its a treat, a perfect marriage of hi-tech graphics and the traditional Disney virtue of strong characterisation and colour. The script crackles with wit and life. Williams Genie is matched by Freemans malevolent Jafar, and by Gottfried as Jafars wisecracking parrot Iago. The only disappointments are the wet Aladdin and his sweetheart Jasmine and five rather ordinary songs.

Absolutely awesome!! One of Tim Burton's best!! The best ones have to be this, Beetlejuice, Sweeney Todd and Sleepy Hollow!! Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder were brilliant!! This film is in a way like King Kong because the cops were after Edward because he was different and that he was causing real problems which he couldn't help. Just like Kong in New York City and the Empire State Building scene. It is really funny aswell. This film proves that Tim Burton and Johnny Depps film partnership can never go wrong or be underestimated. I have seen all of the Tim Burton-Johnny Depp films. The make-up is brilliant in this film. The make-up Johnny has as Edward looks like similar sort of make-up as he has in Sweeney Todd. Brilliant art and costumes, just like in all of the Tim Burton films. This film is probably better to watch at night than in the day, like a saturday night or something, like I did when I first watched this film. Tim Burton's modern-day fable succeeds beautifully as sharp comedy and achingly sad romance. The imaginative set design and spellbinding story are both superb, but the real joys here are the performances, particularly from Depp. It's still one of his finest moments, in a movie that is certainly one of the best fantasy films ever made. In my opinion, this is the most touching film of all time and the most influenced film I have ever watched. I have seen this film so many times.

What an absolute classic film. This is probably one of the most warm hearted family masterpieces of all time. James Stewart portrays George Bailey really well and so does Donna Reed as Mary Hatch Bailey. The film doesnt turn into a fantasy film until the film is about 1 hr 25 minutes into the film. The scenes by the bridge with all the snow is a classic scene. I loved it at the end when George is with his family and all of the people in the town are coming in and giving money and their respects to him and what success he has given to the locals of the town. It also makes me feel happy aswell because George was in a bit of a crisis in his job which could thr |
