Child memories / B-Movies/ guilty pleasures/ & some so bad they're good
Movies I loved when I was a kid, some I still love, some good, some perversely bad, some other still fun, some underrated, anyway it's all just for nostalgia and laughs...

Superman (1978, PG)
The greatest cinematic transition of a comic book ever done. Richard Donner's vigorous narrative pulse, Christopher Reeve's perfect incarnation and John Williams' majestic score made this movie an instant everlasting classic. Margot Kidder, Gene Hackman and the legendary Marlon Brando are some of the other additions to a perfect equation. An epic and exhilarating tale about the themes we the mere mortals constantly love to revive. The one and only superhero movie. |

It's been quite a long time. I was 8, I was at my grandparents' house, and my brothers, a cousin and I started to cry and yell, we didn't want to stay there the whole afternoon, we wanted to watch this, the ultimate blockbuster of that time. so my grandma took us to the theater, I remember the lines outside were huge. The show was no less than amazing, John Williams breathtaking notes, Spielberg's exciting and suspenseful storytelling and that terrific dinosaurs. pure entertainment. |
