Public Enemies
Begining with 1929 and until 1933-1934 most countries, including U.S., were hit by the devastating economic crisis, that saw a wave of criminality rising, the bank robbery became a fact of the quotidian.
The bank robbers became some sort of popstars, know by many, and loved by the media, they were our contemporary Robin Hood, without his altruism though.
One of this bank robbers was John Dillinger that inspired this uninspired movie.
I waited for this quite a bit, my expectations were high and I was let down by it. This movie is fairly simplistic, the characters were undeveloped, it's a shame not using the full potential of actors like Bale, Depp or Cotillard, a wasted opportunity.
I was expecting a tense and intelligent drama, something to keep my neurons working, instead I got this loooong action movie.

Prince of Jutland (Royal Deceit) (1994,  R)
Prince of Jutland (Royal Deceit)
A fratricide, an incestuous relationship, someone called Amled pretending to be mad so that he could have his revenge. Sounds exactly like "Hamlet", only that is the other way around, Shakespeare had this old danish tale as a source of inspiration for his infinitely more famous play.
A lot of aspects are similar and others not, but that's not the point. The film, "Prince od Jutland" is below average, appears like a failed experiment. Usually, it takes some great acting to boost the value of the movie, but even actors like Bale, Mirren, Byrne, couldn't do much for this one, the acting isn't that spectacular.
