My favorite xmas film.

One of the best childrens movies ever made.

This movie was watchable but it did get annoying at times.

There was nothing terrifying about this movie but it was a really good black comedy with quite a few laugh out loud moments.

The lead character Angela was kind of stupid but if she had of been smarter the movie would of been boring and a great deal shorter.

I will never eat another carrot!

Okay xmas movie,nothing special.

Quite a boring Christmas movie starring Jennifer Grey (i did not realise it was her until i saw the credits),i was going to rate it 2.5 but the very small twist towards the end earns it an extra half a point. The twist is not shocking at all but it did seem unusual for a Hallmark daytime movie.

Predictable but watchable Christmas film.

This movie was okay although the dance that Penelope Cruz did was cringe worthy. Susan Sarandon was on top form but she always is.

This movie looks great but my local cinema only showed it for a few days over Christmas and now they have took it off,damn them!

Update 2- yippee The Children is finally out on dvd.

Update 3 - It was worth the wait!

Yippee i finally got to watch The Children today with my husband and daughter,i watched the UK 18 version. It was amazing and gripping from start to finish,a good British movie. Hannah Tointon (Katie from Hollyoaks) plays the lead character Casey,one of the older children,i think she was suppose to be about 16/17. Caseys family joins her aunts family to stay for a few days to welcome in the New Year. One by one the children become poorly and turn into evil little killers who quickly turn on their parents and pets.

Overall the acting is excellent,Hanna Tointon is brilliant shes certainly improved since Hollyoaks and the smaller children are brilliant at being moody,spoilt,brattish and demonic. All the characters were believable and reminded me of people i know in real life especially the over protective middle class aunt(gold star charts,home schooling,my children would not behave like that attitude). The atmosphere was creepy and eerie and the visuals were stunning(blood and ice,the stunning country home set amongst the snow),it all worked well to create a feeling of doom and dread.
