Mildred Pierce (1945,  Unrated)
Mildred Pierce
Mildred Pierce is one of the best Joan Crawford films. Joan looks and acts wonderfully in this film which she won an Oscar for Best Actress.

Joan plays a hard working woman that starts from the group up to have the best for her family. In time she has a hit restuarant but even with this her vicious daughter still wants more. A murder happens and what a great story to watch unfold.....a film worth watching for sure

What Women Want (2001,  PG-13)
What Women Want
What Women Want is a smart film starring one of my ALL TIME Favs....Helen Hunt. oh yea Mel Gibson is in it too....lol

Both have good chemistry together and are battling the oppostie sex to see who is the better exec. At the same time Gibson battles with getting to hear all women's thoughts 24/7.

Jezebel (1938,  Unrated)
4
Chinatown (1974,  R)
5
Body Heat (1981,  R)
Body Heat
Body Heat from 1981 starring Kathleen Turner (her first starring role) and William Hurt.

This movie centers around a very wealthy and married woman (Turner) whom meets a very single and interestsed man (Hurt). A web of lies and games are in the midst for this ill fated couple. A big Kathleen Turner and William Hurt fan here...check this classic 80's film out!
6
The Bad and the Beautiful (1953,  Unrated)
7
The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946,  Unrated)
The Postman Always Rings Twice
The Postman Always Rings Twice from 1946 is such a gem of a film noir. Lana Turner and John Garfield are a very good team of people whom are so lethal for one another. If you are a fan of these actors, a film noir, or love a dark very well done film than this is for you!
8
The Letter (1940,  Unrated)
9
Marie Antoinette (1938,  Unrated)
Marie Antoinette
The film; Marie Antoinette, is one of the most lavish film's I have seen. This gem from MGM Studios in 1938 stars the beautiful Norma Sheaer along with the dashing Tyrone Power. Norma Shearer plays the Queen Marie Antoinette whom fals in love with Tyrone Power wher they stay together through her ill fated marriage and the over throw of France. The recent version with Kirsten Dunst holds nothing close to this materpiece of the original. Make time to see this and forget the remake which is not worthy of a few moments.
10
His Girl Friday (1940,  Unrated)
11
Suddenly, Last Summer (1959,  Unrated)
12
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958,  Unrated)
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with one of my all time favs Liz Taylor is a very good film...one of her best. Paul Newman is perfect as the leading man in this drama. A couple that is seeminly bad for one another deal with family and other assorted drama in the 50's.
13
The Philadelphia Story (1940,  Unrated)
The Philadelphia Story
The Philadelphia Story, is one of my favorite MGM comedies of the 40's. A dream cast consisting of Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant, James Stewart, Ruth Hussey and more. Have to love the studio system back in the day where they could get the best of the best in every role be a star studded film.....gotta love a very smart, well acted, funny, and great actors to watch in there prime....comedy at it's finest!!!
14
The Thin Man (1934,  Unrated)

Libeled Lady (1936,  Unrated)
Libeled Lady
This has to be one of my favorite screwball comedies. This grand film from MGM studios stars the best coupings of; Myrna Loy, Williams Powell. Spencer Tracy, & Jean Harlow.

I love this film and it is truly a flm on top of my MUST SEE list. No matter in this comedy whom you end up with you are a winer no matter what. Other than the hit Thin Man series this is the other best vehicle for Loy & Powell. And the powers of Harlow & Tracy make it a very special comedy with great costumes, funny story line and more. Check this comedy staple out!

Dangerous Liaisons (1988,  R)
Dangerous Liaisons
This is a lovely period piece with power houses; Glenn Close, Michelle Pfeiffer, and John Malkovich. The story of wealthy individuals in 18th Century Europe with a bet. Can a man bed and make a woman fall in love with him...even though he has no intentions...it is pure evil the length they go to. This is very well acted along with great filming location of the grand palaces of the time and costumes...great job!

The Grifters (1990,  R)
23
Steel Magnolias (1989,  PG)
Steel Magnolias
Steel Magnolias is such a very good movie all about a very good ensemble cast. There is no leading ladies or men but just very good plots and characters. Leading the pact of actors are: Sally Field, Julia Roberts, Daryl Hannah, Shirley Maclaine, Olympia Dukakis, Dolly Parton, Sam Shepard, and Dylan McDermott.

I truly love this movie that has many heart felt moments all throughout. If you have not as of yet seen this gem from 1989..what are you freak'n waiting for??!!!!
