1
Caddyshack (1980,  R)
Caddyshack
This movie always amazes me for its time. A great cast and a great and funny story. Very funny humor. The added gopher was a great touch to give the movie some more comedy. Bill Murray and Chevy Chase had problems with each other before this movie and they learned to work together for this film. Including the great improve scenes they did together. Rodney Dangerfield was also a nice added touch to the film and since it was rated R they allowed him to be a bit nastier. This movie has everything.
2
Airplane! (1980,  PG)
Airplane!
This is a number one classic. The ruler of slapstick movies. You will catch yourself repeating lines from this movie for years. Comedy during this time was different than what you see now a days. And sometimes, it is even better. Great movie.
3
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1993,  PG-13)
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
one of the best Jim Carrey movies I would say. Very funny and a decent story line. Jim Carrey has a nice talent of warping his body and adding it to this character was really good.
4
Jaws (1975,  PG)
Jaws
This movie made me never want to go swimming when I was younger. To think a shark that could do that. Jaws was actually a mechanical shark and for the time, looked pretty good and scary.
5
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988,  PG)
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
I loved this movie. Putting cartoons and humans in the same movie. It is great. The cast was great also and the ending is the ending of all cartoon character type endings. You have to see it to believe it.
6
The Nightmare Before Christmas (2008,  PG)
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Such a classic. A combination of Halloween and Christmas. You can watch it on both holidays. Tim Burton really made a great movie and the way it was made was brilliant and satisfying.
7
The Shining (1980,  R)
The Shining
heeeeeeeeeeeeeres johnny! Yes the famous line. Amazing performance by Jack Nicholson. Now this movie had changed alot of things compared to the book; like the murder weapon. But all in all the movie still became a creepy, scary, amazing film.
8
The Birds (1963,  PG-13)
The Birds
A classic that still scares me. Think about it. Birds, attacking you. They made the movie a little graphic, but put all the scare in the feel of the movie.
9
Back to the Future (1985,  PG)
Back to the Future
Great movie and great cast. The concept of the whole movie was amazing. Plus the little things they put into it really made it original. Like using a delorean as a time machine. Having terrorists. Going back to the past. The movie was done so well, it is hard to pick apart scenes that you don't like. For extra amusement, get the DVD and watch some of the outtakes.
10
The Breakfast Club (1985,  R)
The Breakfast Club
A classic in all ways. Some great scenes. This is the teen movie of the 80s. The personality of the characters really very and you find yourself loving or hating them. There are some nce messages you learn from this film and it was a masterpiece by John Hughes.
11

Groundhog Day (1993,  PG)
Groundhog Day
This movie has to be watched at least 3 times a year. It is the type of movie you never get tired of. It is comes on TV you always end up watching it. Bill Murray was amazing in this movie and he got to do a lot of improve. The rest of the cast was nice too. After awhile you really feel his pain of living the same day over and over again.

Revenge of the Nerds
Great classic. True nerd
17
The Goonies (1985,  PG)
The Goonies
This classic was a child's dream. The dream to go on an adventure and run into bad guys, monsters and pirates. But for what? TREASURE! This had a great and memorable cast and some scenes you will always remember. This is and will always be a cult classic to anyone who ever watches it.
18
Big Trouble in Little China (1986,  PG-13)
Big Trouble in Little China
A classic with some great one liners. Kurt Russel just had the voice to pull those off. Putting an everyday truck driver in a fantasy type story was crazy, but it grows on you and the movie fits together very well.
"It's all in the reflexes"....HAHA
19
Beetle Juice (Beetlejuice) (1988,  PG)
Beetle Juice (Beetlejuice)
This is always a must for the Halloween season. Michael Keaton did an amazing job as this character turning the film into a cult classic. I believe Baldwin and Davis got their start in this film too. Not their first film, but the one they really got noticed in. I love the funny horror feel to this film.
20
The Kentucky Fried Movie (1977,  R)
The Kentucky Fried Movie
The maker's of airplane and animal house get together before they become famous and make this hilarious film of 70's commercial spoofs and a small Bruce Lee spoof movie. Very funny stuff and some great slapstick and subjects you just don't see anymore.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986,  PG)
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Nothing can beat the memorable moments from Ferris Bueller. This movie made Matthew Broderick who he is today. Everything about this movie was a memory. A few small parts do not give the movie a perfect rating, but all in all the movie was fantastic. Hughes really hit it big with this film.

The NeverEnding Story (1984,  PG)
The NeverEnding Story
Classic movie with fantasy. Great visuals
31
The Return of the Living Dead (1985,  R)
The Return of the Living Dead
cult classic. You must watch this if you love zombies and heavy metal. I am serious. You will watch the movie and think that it is dumb and very cheesy, but then you realize because of that, how much you really love it. "YOU WANNA PARTY!" Watch this movie to see why I yelled that.

Toy Story
Good cast and had a good run of fans
34
Weekend at Bernie's (1989,  PG-13)
Weekend at Bernie's
This was just your average comedy. But it was very entertaining. It just needed more of a story line. The cast was very good especially Terry Kiser as Bernie. He was really good at well, playing dead. The movie makes you chuckle, but the story is poor. It will always be a classic though.
35
The Addams Family (1991,  PG-13)
The Addams Family
A cheesy version of what the Adam's are like today. Not a bad movie. A nice classic
36

Stand by Me
Good cult classic. This movie shows true friendship. It also looks at the world through a child's eyes and shows how they will react to situations and just life in general. Very memorable and well made.

The Sandlot
This is a classic kid group from the 90s. You have to have from from all the years. The acting was pretty good and there were some great scenes. The narrator was great and really helped tell the story. The dog in the movie was a memory in itself.

Ok yes this is a classic. But the movie was done so bad. It wasn't even as entertaining as I thought it was. I am sorry, but I have to rate it low.
39
Sixteen Candles (1984,  PG)
Sixteen Candles
This was a pretty good movie. Again, it is a classic must see. Just the whole wishing on a candle thing was really cool. Molly Ringwald really made a lot of money in the 80s from being casted in some great movies. This had an excellent cast and a good story.
40

Gone With the Wind
One of the greatest love stories. Beautiful back scenes too
42
Home Alone (1990,  PG)
Home Alone
This is a classic. This will make you laugh at the poor fools who take on this little kid. Great christmas movie. But overall the story was just not as good. You could of put any story to this movie as long as the bad guys got beatin up. But Culkin got his big break on this movie.
43
The Crow (1994,  R)
The Crow
It was ok. Not as good as the comic. But still had a nice dark feel.
44
Trainspotting (1996,  R)
Trainspotting
This movie takes drugs to a crazy level. The craziness that Ewan McGregor sees from not taking and taking drugs is crazy. This film really shows how sick drugs can be. And there is a scene with a baby that will scar you for life.

49
The Brave Little Toaster (1987,  G)
The Brave Little Toaster
A movie I grew up with. This is a great cartoon. But I am not saying that cause I loved it as a kid. All the characters are original and the story is pretty good.
50
Fast Times At Ridgemont High (1982,  R)
Fast Times At Ridgemont High
A classic movie in itself. With a classic scene by Phoebe Cates. This is a movie that Sean Penn looks back on and says, "what the hell was I thinking". Seriously, he won't even put this on his "movies I did list". But I really enjoyed his character and some of the others. It was a good movie thought overall.
51
Smokey and the Bandit (1977,  PG)
Smokey and the Bandit
The plot really made no sense. But the humor was worth it and it had a lot of car chases. Decent for the 70's. I did enjoy it.
52
National Lampoon's Animal House (1978,  R)
National Lampoon's Animal House
A cult classic indeed. A great cast with great scenes. This is probably one of the best college movies around and no others can touch it.
53
Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983,  PG)
Twilight Zone: The Movie

54
Say Anything... (1989,  PG-13)
Say Anything...
The 80's had some problems with there movies. But not this one. This was was pretty good. Then there is the classic scene where he holds up the boom box. But you can see that from the box art. But overall it was a classic love story to show you how far someone will go for love. Great performance by Cusack.

Accents and guns. Violence, but for good. You find yourself wanting to be there in the action. Great cult movie and should be scene at least once.
59
Bad Taste (2004,  Unrated)
Bad Taste
Just a all around off the wall horror comedy. This is a classic. Aliens using us for fast food. How funny is that. Plus there are some very funny gore shots in here.
60
Young Frankenstein (1974,  PG)
Young Frankenstein
Mel Brooks use of black and white into an everyday classic comedy. Brooks has a way with comedy and shows this in this film. For he was able to combine an older style with a newer laugh.
61
The Graduate (1967,  PG)
The Graduate
Some would say this is a classic and well, it is. This movie, I believe, started the whole "older women going for younger men" idea.
