The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo.) (1966, R)
This was a very good western. Had a good plot and great characters. Clint Eastwood character is your classic tough guy cowboy with a mysterious past. Eli Wallach character is very funny in this. A must for western fans. The movie also has a great music theme throughout the film. If you have never heard or seen the film you most likely have heard the theme song. |

Kelly's Heroes (1970, PG)
This was a good WWII film. Has a great cast. Watching Eastwood's character Kelly was like a Sgt.Rock comic character jumping onto the big screen. Telly Savalas was awesome in this as well. Has a good plot with the gold heist. Good action scenes and some humor as well. Overall one of the few fun WWII films out there. |

Dirty Harry (1971, R)
A classic. The first and best of the Dirty Harry series. Eastwood plays the tough cop role to a tee. The scene in the beginning of the film with him bluffing the criminal if he has any bullets left is awesome. A great scene. The film does though have that dated 70's look but it adds to the film. With a great story of Harry trying to stop a killer and some decent action makes for a fun film. Dirty Harry is such a great character. You can't wait to watch him put the beat down on the criminals. |

Escape from Alcatraz (1979, PG)
This is a great prison movie. Apparently based on a true story. Not sure how accurate it is though. Clint Eastwood is excellent in this. Plays the tough S.O.B to a tee. Has a decent supporting cast. With a great story and interesting characters makes this a fun film. My second favorite prison based film behind Shawshank Redemption. |

Unforgiven (1992, R)
This is a great western. Very dark story with a great cast. Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman are all great in this. Between the action and the great characters and story make this a great film. Now if you are not a fan of westerns you might want to avoid it. But I would suggest giving it a chance due to the great story and cast making it great. A must see for movie fans. |
