The Dark Knight (2008, PG-13)
Great film, almost more of a Crime-Drama/Psychological Thriller than a Comic Book hero movie. Great writing. |

30 Days of Night (2007, R)
Good film, very entertaining. The suspense is great, they did a great job building the tension from beginning to end. The climax was a little predictable to me but it was still good. Overall the concept was pretty original and very interesting, I might look for the original graphic novel to compare it to this film adaptation. Also, I'm definitely buying the dvd when it comes out. |

Wanted (2008, R)
Very entertaining...not just a great action flick, it has some genuinely funny moments. Good performances[Especially by James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie, & Morgan Freeman.. Common should have gotten more lines but he was cool]. The action sequences and special effects are top-notch. Great cinematography. |

Batman Forever (1995, PG-13)
Very entertaining but the writing was lacking, the plot is laughable. Val Kilmer actually made a great Bruce Wayne/Batman but not even he could save this film from being the beginning of the end for the old Batman franchise. The Riddler of this movie is very different from The Riddler of the comics, he was too much of a jokester and the riddles weren't that challenging. The writers and the director should have written a smarter and more serious Riddler, Jim Carrey is a versatile actor and could have pulled it off but because of the lackluster writing...he failed. Overall it's a decent film but not that good of a Batman movie. |

Daredevil (2003, PG-13)
Actually entertaining, not as bad as they say it is. The character development was lacking and some of it was kinda cheesy and cliche. Ben Affleck wasn't THAT convincing as a blind dude but he did ok. Michael Clarke Duncan actually made a good Kingpin, Colin Farrell was very entertaining, Jennifer Garner was good, and Jon Favreau was cool as well. Decent flick, the director's cut was pretty solid. I can't stand the playground scene though!! |

Spider-Man 3 (2007, PG-13)
Very disappointing, too many flaws and plotholes. It seemed as if Sam Raimi messed some things up purposely, to avoid the studio wanting him to do another Spidey film. The only thing that redeems this film is how vastly entertaining it was at first. |

X-Men Origins - Wolverine (2009, PG-13)
Highly disappointing, rushed and formulaic...the character development was severely lacking. The two factors that made this film remotely entertaining were Hugh Jackman & Liev Schreiber. Ryan Reynolds should have had more screentime so that they could develop his character a bit more, the Weapon 11 twist was stupid. Gambit & Cyclops were useless to the overall plot. They should not have been included eventhough it was kind of cool to finally see Gambit on the big screen...he was still pointless. X3 was better than this, hell...X3 was better than X-Men. Hopefully they can make a better sequel. I wish Marvel would buy the rights back. |

Catwoman (2004, PG-13)
Somewhat entertaining but the plot sucked and some of the acting was lacking. With the cast it was given, it could have been much better. The true downfalls of this film are the producers, screenwriters , and the director. It seemed kinda low-budget. Quite possibly the worst comic book movie of all time. |

Batman & Robin (1997, PG-13)
It was actually entertaining when I saw it 10 years ago, but that was when I didn't know any better. I've tried to watch it since but I can't bring myself to do it. This film's downfalls are the bad casting, some bad acting, an unworthy director, and a horrible script. One of the worst comic book movies of all time. |
