Sense and Sensibility
this is a brilliant adaptation of Jane Austen's classic novel.Kate Winslet is on excellent form as the passionate elinor and it also shows not only emma thompsons supreme acting ability but her talent as a writer as well.
the incredible ensemble of actors also makes this film so excellent such as alan rickman as colonel brandon.
overall an excellent film which i highly recommend watching

Ever After - A Cinderella Story (1998,  PG-13)
Ever After - A Cinderella Story
Drew Barrymore was perfectly cast as the headstrong Danielle in this retelling of the Ciderella story...most actresses would find it difficult to hold their own against such an established actress as Angelica Houston but Drew pulls it off...a brilliant film

Little Women (1994,  PG)
Little Women
This is a brilliant adaptation of Louisa M Alcotts brilliant book. Winona Ryder is amazing as the headstrong Jo and Susan Sarandon as the loving mother. Christian Bale is also brilliant in one of his early roles as Laury, Jo's friend who is in love with her but the love is sadly not reciprocated. Gabriel Byrne is also brilliant as Jo's love interest but unfortunately his role is a small one so we don't get to see the extent of his talent. a superb film with an excellent ensemble of actors.

The Illusionist
This is on a par with the Prestige however they are two entirely different films.this is an amazingly clever film with Edward Norton superbly cast as the charming magician Eisenheim and Rufus Sewell as the evil Crown Prince Leopold. I was also very impressed by Paul Giamatti's performance whose previous roles have,in my opinion, not been the best career moves. The ending was brilliant and clever and overall just a fantastic movie
29
The Prestige (2006,  PG-13)
The Prestige
A film with 4 of my favourite actors in,a fantastic director and brilliant reviews...how could it go wrong?well,it didn't!Having two superheroes go head to head as rival magicians was nothing short of genius. The twist no could honestly say they saw coming and overall a fantastic film!the only thing that let it down a little was hugh jackmans inability to maintain a consistent british accent but apart from that a brilliant film!
