Elephant (2003,  R)
Elephant
Disturbingly realistic and a controversial topic to tackle. Certainly through the first half, it was very mundane and I found it difficult to keep watching, but of course in hindsight it?s certainly worth staying with to feel the impact of the finish.

Filmed in a sort of Documentary style, it?s certainly unique in it?s delivery, any other way would probably have disrespected many of the true events that have taken part in schools across America.

One of a kind.

Drugstore Cowboy (1989,  R)
Drugstore Cowboy
A film which although lacks any major excitement is still a fairly interesting watch. You see the film through a viewer?s eyes and perhaps create your opinions on this as opposed to making the viewer see it through an Addict?s eyes, which many later films following this theme have managed to do.

It?s a very watchable movie, just feel it lacked a little something, worth seeing if it appears on tv and enjoyable performances from Matt Dillon and Kelly Lynch.

Milk (2008,  R)
Milk
An extremely worthy tale to tell of the true story of Harvey Milk, Gay and Human rights activist turned politician during the 70?s in San Fransisco.

Yet another great performance from Penn and very Gus Van Sant to bring a controversial story to light.

This is a great awareness story and a legacy that will live on. It also acts as a metaphor for any type of minority, whatever that minority might be.

Last Days (2005,  R)
Last Days
The appeal for this film is that, although it?s not based on the actual events of the last few days of Cobain?s life, it was at least inspired by them and therefore seemed an interesting topic to me.

Here?s where it all goes horribly wrong. The DVD cover describes the film as ?Brilliant? and ?A Modern Masterpiece?, strangely I can?t identify with either of these descriptions. Unlike (I?m sure) many, I was utterly bored by the whole film, the whole thing was a huge disappointment to me.

I can?t quite work out how this was an award winning film, honestly I think I would have had more fun watching paint dry.

I definitely feel like I?m missing something here!!!
