Miller's Crossing (1990,  R)
Miller's Crossing
I really chose the wrong state of mind to watch this in, as it needed plenty of concentration (something I was lacking in at that moment). It soon became relevant that I?d missed parts of the storyline which were relevant, yet really enjoyed the last half of this film. I hope to watch this again fairly soon, to pick up on the bits that I missed.

It seemed an impressive role for Gabriel Byrne, who I tend to find a complete hit, or a complete miss in most films he is in (and always reminds me of Pacino),

Looking forward to my next viewing of this old Mobster film, where I can guarantee my rating will go up.

Stigmata (1999,  R)
Stigmata
A very deep and powerful story with controversial content. Wonderful performances from Patricia Arquette and Gabriel Byrne.

A story unlike any other, with music throughout that sets the mood of the tale.

Not a film for the easily distracted, but one I definitely recommend.

The Usual Suspects (1995,  R)
The Usual Suspects
Billient, still as good today as when I first saw it, great twist, great cast, great story.

VERDICT: One of those films you will see in any film fanatics collection

Emmett's Mark (Killing Emmett Young) (2005,  R)
Emmett's Mark (Killing Emmett Young)
The concept of this story is really good and although the case involved a Serial Killer (which was my initial interest) this was not the main focus of the storyline. I thought it was a little drawn out in parts, butt all in all an enjoyable film
5
Assault on Precinct 13 (2005,  R)
Assault on Precinct 13
I feel the general rule for remakes, whether it music or films, is that you either have to do it very different or much better. This film to me was just as boring as the original and a bit of a waste of a film budget.
6
Ghost Ship (2002,  R)
Ghost Ship
Opens with a really good scene, but I'm afraid that's as far as this film goes.

Just plain boring, certainly won't be watching it again!
7
Dead Man (1995,  R)
Dead Man
Johnny Depp, a spiritual journey, a native American, Billy-bob Thornton and music by Neil Young, this should have ticked all the boxes for me. However I found it extremely boring with a couple of intriguing moments.

Gabriel Byrne, I feel, is a much underated Actor, who has had some impressive roles to date, I still have quite a few of his films to work through and will update as soon as I have.
