Natural Born Killers (1994,  NC-17)
Natural Born Killers
I've watched this film countless times and I could never get bored of it. As a fan of Woody Harrelson, even I didn't expect him to pull off the character of Mickey Knox as well as he did and Juliette Lewis being cast for the part of Mallory was perfection.

This film has two parts to it, a 'before' they got caught for their killing spree and an 'after' they got caught. It portrayed a very deep connection between the two main characters, that could not be broken, whether together, seperated or facing death.

I love the story that the Shaman tells about the snake.

The Style of the filming is probably something taken for granted now in these style films, but it's still impressive.

The Doors (1991,  R)
The Doors
A well played part by Val Kilmer, whom I'm not usually a huge fan of.

As I understand it from others, the story was told from a biased point of view. I am a fan of The Doors, but not so much that I know whether or not this is true.

Entertaining, insightfuly, this is Sex, Drugs & Rock 'n' roll without a doubt.

JFK (1991,  R)
JFK
My first viewing of this film and from others I am led to believe that even the details of the film are incorrect and almost a conspiracy in itself??

As possibly one of the biggest conspiracy theories in history, the film is big in terms of it?s star cast, it?s investigation, the content and script with some dialogue running for a fair while without breaking scenes, (in particular the scene with Donald Sutherland).

Good performances all around and made for intriguing viewing.

Talk Radio (1988,  R)
Talk Radio
This was one of those films, you really expect nothing from and yet, it pleasantly surprised me. Eric Bogosian plays the role of a radio presenter and he is very convincing in doing so. He upsets practically everyone with his freedom of speech and obnoxious attitude. I liked the controversy of this film which made it quite unique and despite looking a little dated; it was a really enjoyable watch.

Platoon (1986,  R)
Platoon
A film it seemed, everyone had seen apart from me. Certainly interesting, but it did take a little while for me to take Charlie Sheen serious as I kept thinking of his role as Topper Harley in Hot Shots.

I know many will disagree for my rating of this film, but I didn't quite see it as an iconic, classic, or masterpiece of a film
