The Da Vinci Code (2006,  PG-13)
The Da Vinci Code
A huge film with huge content which requires your full attention, to fully absorb the quality of the plot. Wonderful acting all around, particually Ian McKellan. One to certainly let you ponder and at 2 hours and 22 minutes, this lengthly tale holds you from start to finish.

Cinderella Man (2005,  PG-13)
Cinderella Man
I think what's quite amazing is that this film is based on the true story of Jim Bradock, had it not have been based on the true story, I would have said that it was pretty predictable.

What I do like most about this film is that it highlighted extremely well the povertypeople experienced during the The Great Depression.

Great role played by Russell Crow, of course it certainly helps if you have an interest in boxing and even Rene Zellwegger didn't do a bad job in this, even though I'm not a huge fan of her.

A very enjoyable, (if not a little drawn out) story.

VERDICT: I'm sure most would enjoy
5
The Missing (2003,  R)
The Missing
Cate Blanchett's acting is as good as ever, the story however lost me in parts and found it hard to keep my concentration. I think it's definitely one for a one off watch, you're not gonna want to watch this over and over
6
A Beautiful Mind (2001,  PG-13)
A Beautiful Mind
Found the beginning of this a little boring, but half way through it really warmed up and I enjoyed it
7
EdTV (1999,  PG-13)
8
Ransom (1996,  R)
Ransom
A watchable film abou the kidnapping of a wealthy businessman's son, nothing specail, quite liked the ending.

VERDICT: It's the kind of film that if it came on tv you'd watch it, but no point renting or buying
9
Apollo 13 (1995,  PG)
10
The Paper (1994,  R)
11
Backdraft (1991,  R)
Backdraft
Not as good as I remember this film being, but I think that might be due to the special effects, they seemed so great at the time, but we've come a long way since.

VERDICT: Worth watching if it comes on tv

Not what I was expecting at all, a bit of a feel good sort of film, with some funny parts, likeable and easy watching.
