Ye yan (Legend of the Black Scorpion) (The Banquet) (2006, Unrated)
Daniel Wu looks so pretty with long hair, he plays the Prince Wu Luan. Wu Luan went into solitude with acting and music after his father took little Wan for himself, that pervert! But when His Uncle killed his father and married Wan himself, she sent her warriors to bring him home unknowingly that even the Emperor's assassins are out to kill prince Wu Luan. This film is full of passion and betrayal and revenge. Beautiful scenery and colors, costumes, armors and hair dressing. It's a personal favorite! |

New Police Story (San ging chaat goo si) (2006, R)
New Police Story makes for a real tear jerker! I feel for these characters and especially Jackie Chan as the police. Nicholas Tse is a wonderful and sweet character and plays as an encouraging sidekick. Daniel Wu is excellent at playing the angsty, pissed off, rebellious teen who hates cops because his father has abused him since he was a child. |

Devil Face, Angel Heart (2002, Unrated)
Devil Face Angel Heart isn't the most exciting or great movie but it has its moments. Daniel Wu plays such a sweet deformed face man who is working for bad guys to make ends meet with his brother. He has been used royally by the Dragon gangster and his whore. After a tragic backstabbing that nearly cost him his life, he underwent plastic surgery to restore his face so he is no longer deformed and went back to Hong Kong to take his revenge on the whore that had him killed after he did her a favor and killed Dragon whom used to beat her or so she says. The ending is a tear jerker, I really feel for this man who is so kind and gentle. Yet was used and framed royally, he had everything to lose. |

Ziyu fengbao (Purple Storm) (1999, Unrated)
I feel sorry for the character Daniel Wu plays. He begins as a criminal but an accident with his head happened during the mission and he got amnesia. The CIA decided to use this to their advantage, with a little hypnotism and false memories, he will lead CIA to his crime father. However he somehow was captured by his father and memories come back bit by bit until he is confused and lost. He thought he was doing good but somehow went bad after his son was killed in a bombing. Now he must help CIA stop his father from unleashing the Purple Storm that will cost thousands of lives. The ending is a fitting one and I'm happy to have seen it. |

Moon to (Protégé) (2007, R)
Protege is a drama film about an undercover cop becoming a protege to a gang lord, becoming part of the family only to betray the gang lord in the end, who took care of the cop as one of his own family. Thats what made it sad and the friendship made with a druggie woman and her little daughter. This film is touching and has tragic consequences for some of the main characters. Sad. I gotta add this to my Daniel Wu / Andy Lau collection as soon as possible since it's out of print item. |

Hit Team (2001, Unrated)
Hit Team is a police / criminal thriller which Daniel Wu as head of hit team named Chung leading the team using heavy firearms to stop the selling of fire arms. When a police is wounded and parayzed in gang ambush, the fellas plan to steal from the same gang enough money to pay their friend's medical bills. However they clash with the Hit Team and violence ensues. The ending is a semi-happy one, but in its own right, they succeeded in their plan at a great loss. I loved watching Daniel Wu aka Chung who doesn't know how to swim and lead the team. |

Daai lo oi mei lai (Enter the Phoenix) (2004, Unrated)
A hilatious yaoi (gay) comedy, yakuza movie presented by Jackie Chan. Daniel Wu plays the gay son Georgie, of the First Brother yakuza Boss who was sent to boarding school as a child. When First Boss dies, his right hand men go to bring Georgie back home to become head of the yakuza. However georgie's best friend pretended that he was Georgie and the real Georgie was his right hand man... Allowing this to be, they return home and things get outta hand... with hilarious and dramatic results. |

Ming Ming (2006, Unrated)
A truly irresistable film, beautiful characters and interesting story. Daniel Wu plays D, handsome, sexy and alluring to women, he's a lover and fighter. Ming ming falls for D and gets 5 million and a mysterious box from gangster Cat to run away with D... Things take an unexpect turn when Ming sees and runs into Nana her look alike and lets Nana be the scapegoat to her crime. The only irritable thing in and of this film is the dramatic pauses throughout and the reversing of some scenes... you'll have to see this to understand. The overuse of pausing is a pain in the ass. |

Night Corridor (2004, Unrated)
Daniel Wu plays twins in this film... It's suppose to be a horror movie, diasappointedly enough there weren't anything scary. The dark side to this film is the psychological scars of the main character raped by the priest as a child, an alcholic mother who keeps calling her son by the dead one's name. Beware though: it's mild gay content, the main character masturbates while rubbing a guy's photo to his chest. That was quite a shocker, not that we see anything other than his hand. |

Undercover Blues (2000, Unrated)
Undercover Blues is OK. Weak and seemingly short. Daniel Wu plays a cop Joe who disappeared for two days undercover as a bad guy. A group of his fellow cops go to find him and bring Joe back, worried he may have his true identity found out; but as it turned out being undercover had its effect that turned Joe into a bad guy. All that work they do as a cop on such small salary even when promoted got to him. Joe asked his friend what he'd do if bribed as an officer of law. |
