classics and great?

There is a great (wanted outlaw) outcast hero, a drunken but clever doc, a 'lost woman' full of human quality, a conventional wife (waiting for a baby, sure), a cold but somehow gentleman gambler and a funny sale agent of alhoolic. These are, for me, main stars of epic Stagecoach. A long, desperate run over the desert to escape from angry Apaches leaded by Geronimo (and they have the arrows too!!)
and , at last, when the end it's close it arrives the 7th (ahhh i jumped high listening that trumpet ) to save the survivals.....wait.. there's some more... there is the revenge of Ringo vs the killers of his beloved and romantic happy end between the two outasts (Ringo+Dallas) !

nr. 1 CLASSIC WESTERN, FOR SURE !!

THAT'S REALLY GREAT!! The Nazi/Fascist Madness and Racist laws were terrible and horrible events. Chaplin did a superior job to realize an incredible satiric, funny movie and in the same time he warned whole world about the danger. 'The real' Adenoid Hynkel and Bonito Napaloni and Garbitsch and Herring they were the scum of the earth. The scene of the chairs between Adenoid and Bonito it's very appreciated here, it's a classic (haha it's usual to have in Italy a Leader who's Megalomaniac...).

yes this is another marvellous Xmas movie and believe me, this year i missed to watched it. I've been thinking about the future and i thought to myself that i don't need to see a movie to hope for better times. We've never let put us down, we must be optimistic anyway. Very hard times are coming (worse than today) but we'll have to fight honestly for life of us and our families.

I worked for a few months in a motor plant. It was my training for learning how a motor or a pump for wash machines it had to be produced. There were female workers only (it was in France) and i had shame to look into their eyes. The mounting line it was a nightmare...they were human robots, their small hands repeated same action, obsessive action...then a short break for a quick lunch and then the same mouvements...everyday! arghh!
Everytime i'm watching this great mix of laugh and sadness i'm remembering the empty eyes of those women and i'm reflecting about the today's situation by many Countries (and in Italy there are every year thousand of 'white dead' of workers and there are many immigrants who are working 12-14 hours per day for a salary of some hundred euros...).

Achab's obsession for the white whale it's too far superior of his own life. Achab wants to kill his own Death in a glorious way. By the hell, he'll have what he was looking for.... everything it's great in this movie (thanks to Mr. Bradbury also). Fabolous Gregory Peck and cast of characters.

My fave Clark Gable's movie. I haven't seen too many, i'm not a fan of romance or comedies and most of all i'm not a fan of Gone to the wind!sorry. I've remembered well S.F. since i've been scared of earthquake in my region (in 1976 there were more than 1000 dead ppl).

very nice 60s war/spy movie. Burton is the leader of allied commando and Clint + Ingrid they give hm good help. I liked the plot, a mix of commando assault and spy story ( who's the villain and dirty spy of the nazis? )

a special mention for this one. It's full of romantic humanity, and... doubts. The jugoslavian partisans and their people they suffered a lot during 2WW. Revenge and ethnic hate, madness and heroic acts... this one it's worth to see and to reflect about mind destructions.

It's a fave Xmas time movie for whole family. I watched it for the first time in original language. Forgive me, friends. In italy we have not such 'education'. Great voices of P.Lorre and Raymond Massey (FANTASTIC!!) . Sometimes the Cary Grant's lines aren't so easy to understand (he speaks nervous,fast) but i had not problem., i've seen this classic movie (in italian) at least 30 times. My mother enjoy it!

10years ago i got a bad thrauma when, at last, i decided to see Salò. This is one of the most horrible movies... this is not a fairytale, a fantastic movie. I hadn't possibility to escape through my cathartical process from my sexual frustrations: there are not those fake blood bath ,monsters, sadistic murders or inn-jokes which i need to see and to comment in a cynical way.

No, there is nothin' to enjoy when you see a girl who's obliged to eat own shit or to see the submissions and tourtures of boys and girls...

NAZIFASCISTS were the true perverts, pedo, vicious, killers, sadistic human beasts.
Pasolini filmed the worst nightmares of the Victims of Nazifascism and the most vicious and pervert realization of the dreams of Fascists.
The mood of the movie created me angst and pain. The ending it's the elegy of the pervertion and madness.
To rate this movie...today it's 5 stars.

This is PPP. A friulian origin, from my land. He was a true great man of Culture but too complicate and hard to understand for simple,naive minds. Here he filmed his Holy movie. A strong B&W message, so far away from those Technicolor Colossals.
PPP realized a religious and laical movie on the same time. It's a good one for believers and atheists too.

yeah the 60s Disney!! action,fun! Good guy and unconventional Artù he'll become King. Merlin will go to Hawaii to enjoy modern times..surfin' in Usa !!

It's most desperate neo-realist movie. I'm getting older, and i'm starting to feel like a useless man. Hope i'll not have same destiny of U.D.
I watched other great movies of this kind (i.e. ladri di biciclette and Sciuscià) but this is superior. Great De Sica!

hey it was on Italian Tv today. It's full of stars and it's well done (2WW real scenes are ok in such kind of movies). Both visions (USA and JAPAN) of the battle give the right mood.

i don't remember many details of this movie, really. I would like to see it. I have the flashbacks of the snow's storms and of those poor guys who tried to go back... no food, no dogs to help them. it was the legendary competition between Scott and his competitor, the hideous Amudsen. For a young kid as i was, the movie impressed me a lot. The tragedy of those heroes, their humanity and the friendness they had it will last forever. They were Losers and i was, i am one of them.
