Meet the Robinsons (2007, G)
disney pulls of another really good movie. they pretty much never flop. my 2 year old son watched this twice the morning we got it and the entire time he watched it i kept realizing how inviting it was to kids like him while having a complex story line for adults like me. great storyline and cool plot twists at the end. i liked this movie alot. |

Up (2009, PG)
pixar delivers another incredibly strong film with their 10th movie. im not convinced they will ever make a bad film. while not quite as good as my top 4 or so pixar films, its better than pixars last two films by a long shot and delivers an opening 15 minute sequence that is one of the most effective and touching 15 minute stretches i have ever seen on film. the rest of the film is also effective in its own way and despite the need to suspend disbelief in a number of areas the film really delivers. after pixars last two films where they got too creative for their own good and left many kids bored and a bit confused, they got back to making great childrens entertainment with this film that parents will also love. a great film. |

Ratatouille (2007, G)
this was a great movie. delightful to watch and very creative. disney and pixar do a great job of coming up with original stories like this. it wasnt one of my favorite pixar films because i felt that at points it just wasnt interesting enough, but it was warm and fun. brad bird is a great animated director, probably the best there is currently in hollywood. |

Mulan (1998, G) |

WALL-E (2008, G)
another really good flick from disney/pixar. these guys make nothing but really good movies. this was one of my least favorite pixar flicks, due to an ending that sort of fell flat and the fact that wall-e was the only really strong character in the entire film, but much of the animation was solid and the film had a charm to it that many films aim for and few accomplish. overall a great addition to the pixar filmography. |

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937, G)
without question snow white deserves a ton of respect for being the first great animated film, and more than that, for being really good. having said that i think that its status is a bit over played as people seem to forget how shallow the film is. even disney's next couple of films had deeply moving messages, while snow white was more of the classic fairytale in its most generic form. a monumental film that is larger than life, but should be seen as more of a stepping stone than one of the best animated films. |

Fun & Fancy Free (1947, G) |

Make Mine Music (1946, Unrated)
disneys 8th classic film, this is a collection of shorts, many featuring music and others featuring childrens stories with narration. willie the whale is the gem of the film, but the other shorts are very creative and the film has a suprise with a great jazz piece by benny goodman. the film is painfully slow, but it was made more for the expression of creativity than for the entertainment value. good picture. |
