The Horse Whisperer (1998, PG-13)
I absolutely loved this film. Robert Redford gives yet another strong performance, he is a brilliant actor. For me this movie would not have been the same without Kristin Scott and Scarlett Johansson. Both of these great actresses gave integral performances which made this movie as good as it was. I also loved the cinematography in this film and the story. |

The Last King of Scotland (2006, R)
I thought this movie was good, not great but good. Forest Whitaker was very good as Idi Amin, his performance was very powerful. James McAvoy was very good also and that's a good thing because he carries most of the movie. The aspect I liked the most about the movie was that it gave you insight into Idi Amin's world without going too deep into all the killings. |

Brokedown Palace (1999, PG-13) |

The Illusionist (2006, PG-13)
This movie starts off a little slow but it gets better and man what an ending. Edward Norton gave a strong performance as well as Jessica Biel. Paul Giamotti was very good as the chief inspector. This film is a real example of not being able to see the forest for the trees. After you see this film you will understand what that means. |

28 Weeks Later... (2007, R)
This movie is good but not ground breaking like 28 Days Later. This movie is making a strong statement about war where as the first one had a more subtle message. There is a lot of action in this one but not a lot of retrospective moments like the first one. This movie is very graphic and not for the faint of heart. There will probably be a third installment because of the way this one ended. |

The Wicker Man (2006, PG-13)
Let me just start by saying that I am a huge Nicolas Cage fan. Now as for this movie it was boring and un-interesting. The original movie was suspenseful, intriguing, and even scary in some scenes. This version was so bland I kept saying to myself just get to the end already. Don't waste your time watching this movie! |

Flicka (2006, PG)
I really enjoyed this movie. Allison Lohman was great in this movie, this movie would not have have been as good as it was without her. Maria Bello and Tim McGraw were good as the parents of Allison's character. This movie was entertaining and it had a good message as well. This would be a good movie for the whole family to see. |

The Break-Up (2006, PG-13) |

No Country for Old Men (2007, R)
This was a very good movie. I thought that Tommy Lee Jones gave a great performance as the small town sheriff. I think he may even get an Oscar nomination for this role. Josh Brolin and Kelly MacDonald were very good in this movie as well. I think some people will be disappointed with the ending of this movie. But on the other hand if you are a true movie buff you will thoroughly enjoy this great work of art. |

Beowulf (2007, PG-13) |

Atonement (2007, R)
This movie a little slow for my taste. I went to see it because James McAvoy and Keira Knightley are in it, both of them give strong performances. I don't want to say anything about the plot because that would ruin the movie for people who want to see this. I guess if "The bridges of Madison County" are your cup of tea you will like this movie. |

Michael Clayton (2007, R)
I really enjoyed this movie! George Clooney was amazing in this movie, I can see why he got nominated for this film. This movie has a very good story and the characters are real people with real problems. Clooney's character has to deal with issues of doing the right or the wrong thing. Ultimately he has to make a decision so he can live with himself. |

Passchendaele (2008, Unrated)
This film was good but it could have been great. The battle scenes were authentic, graphic, and accurate. It's just that the majority of this movie is spent on the love story. Paul Gross was amazing in this film as was Caroline Dhavernas. These two carried this film and it would not have been as good without them. |

Stop Loss (2008, R) |

A Good Year (2006, PG-13)
This is such a wonderful film, I thoroughly enjoyed it! This is one of Russell Crowes' best performances, he was fantastic in this film. They picked just the right actors for the supporting cast. Abbie Cornish was very good in this and the picture would not have been the same without her. Marion Cotillard is absolutely beautiful and gives a wonderful performance as well. |

| 116 |
The Bourne Identity (2002, PG-13) |
|
| 117 |
The Bourne Ultimatum (2007, PG-13)
This was my favourite movie in the trilogy. This movie has a very clever plot. There is plenty of action in the movie but you also get moments in the movie that make you think about the secrets he is trying to uncover. Matt Damon was very good in this movie. Julia Styles was good as well even though she didn't have a big part. |
|
| 118 |
The Bourne Supremacy (2004, PG-13) |
|
| 119 |
Lars and the Real Girl (2007, PG-13)
This was not what I expected it to be. Having said that I really liked this movie. This movie gives us a view into the world of mental illness. Ryan Gosling was amazing in this film, this is one of his best performances to date. He is such a versatile actor and this is just another case of him carrying a film which happens to be brilliant because of him. They put together a good supporting cast for this film as well. |
|

Numb (2007, R)
This movie was entertaining and down right funny in some scenes. Matthew Perry shows us a different character than we are used to seeing from him. The subject matter of this film is very interesting. They put together a good supporting cast for this film, you get to see Mary Steenburgen in a different light than we usually see her. Lynn Collins was very good in this as well. |
|
| 121 |
Lady in the Water (2006, PG-13)
A lot of people told me they did not enjoy this movie but I have to say it was alright. I though the story was interesting and I liked how Paul Giamattis' character unravelled the peices of the story like peeling off the layers of an onion. Speaking of Paul Giamatti he was excellent in this film, it would not have been the same without him. There is a good supporting cast in this film as well. |
|
| 122 |
Body of Lies (2008, R)
This movie was amazing! The story line in this film is very interesting. The characters albeit spies are characters that have human feelings and emotions. There are some very good action sequences in this film as well. Leonardo DiCaprio was amazing in his role as CIA field agent Roger Ferris. Russell Crowe does a good job as the weathered handler who still believes in the grand cause. |
|
| 123 |
Gran Torino (2009, R)
This is one of Clint Eastwood's best films of his entire career. His work behind the camera and in front of the camera make this a fantastic film. There is a good story line here and characters that you actually care about. Clint put together a very strong supporting cast for this film and the film would not have been as good without them in it. This film has everything you will laugh and cry, you will feel anger and remorse, but most importantly you will leave this film feeling that justice has been served on those who most deserve it. Go see this film! |
|
| 124 |
The International (2009, R)
This was a good movie with an interesting plot. Clive Owen gives another strong performance as the anti-hero. Our hero is determined and brilliant yet flawed because he cares about his work too much sometimes. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Naomi Watts up on the big screen, she is a favourite of mine. She gives a very strong performance as a female investigator who takes her job seriously and yet is trying to be a good mother anf wife at the sametime. Lots of good action sequences which placed just at the right times in the movie. I'm glad I saw this film in the theatre. |

10 Items or Less (2006, R)
This movie was interesting but having said that you have to be in the mood for a lot of dialogue. This movie is character driven and there is no action to speak of. Morgan Freeman was excellent in this film. I love Paz Vega and she is the reason that I watched this movie. I wish they would use her in more films. There is a lot of cursing in this film so you would have to watch it when the kids are not around. |
|
| 126 |
Pathology (2008, R) |
|
| 127 |
Angels & Demons (2009, PG-13)
This film was intriguing and entertaining. I loved the story because it kept my attention throughout the whole film. They had a great cast for this film but it was Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor who really stole the film. Some of the locals where they shot this film were amazing and mysterious. I loved the camera angles they used for a lot of the shots in the film. This film was extremely entertaining and it will hold you captive until it's secrets are revealed in the end. |
|
| 128 |
Traitor (2008, PG-13)
This movie was very good and very interesting. Don Cheadle delivers yet another fantastic performance, this movie would not have been the same without him in it. Guy Pearce was very good in this as well and I loved his southern U.S. accent he totally pulls it off. The story line for this movie was thought provoking and it keeps you guessing about where the main character's loyalties are. This movie is definitely worth viewing, I really enjoyed it. |
|
| 129 |
Blindness (2008, R)
The only reason I am giving this movie 4 stars is because of Julianne Moores' performance. She was fantastic in this film and it would not have been worth watching without her performance. The supporting cast was okay but Julianne carries this movie start to finish. The storyline was okay but a little predictable. They could have made this movie really dark and twisted but I guess they chose not to. Overall this movie was okay. Julianne Moore was incredible in this. |
|
| 130 |
Taking Chance (2009, Unrated)
I'm really glad I saw this movie, it was so good. Kevin Bacon was fantastic in this film he did such a good job. Whether you agree with the United States being in Iraq or not you must respect the men and women who are puting their lives at risk every day over there. This movie shows how one young man's journey home touches so many lives. |
|
| 131 |
Delirious (2006, Unrated)
I liked this movie overall even though it had some slow scenes. Michael Pitt was very good in this film, as he usually is. I really liked Alison Lohman's performance you can tell that she was using a certain real life pop star as inspiration. This film has a good story and it is entertaining. Steve Buscemi was very good as the psycho papparazzi. Overall this was a fairly good movie. |
|

Gamer (2009, R)
Let me start by saying that this movie was not what I expected and I loved this film! The story line is very intriguing and the movie raises a lot of interesting questions about where society is headed. Some of the scenes in this film are really messed up and twisted. They put an amazing cast together for this film. Gerard Butler was fantastic in this film but then again he usually is. Amber Valletta was very good in this as well. And I was so glad to see Alison Lohman in this, she gave a strong performance as always. The action sequences in this film are gritty, fast paced, and packed with explosions and surprises. One last thing the cinematography was amazing because they used several different styles to shoot this film. This is a fantastic mind blowing journey! |

300 (2007, R)
I really enjoyed this film, I just wish that I had seen it in the theatre. Gerrard Butler was very good in this film and it would not have been the same without him. The supporting cast for this film was very good as well. I really enjoyed the cinematography of this film, it was quite unique. The story behind the film is quite amazing and I thought the film honoured the Spartans it a way they deserved to be honoured. This was a very good film! |
|
| 134 |
Law Abiding Citizen (2009, R)This film was amazing and intriguing. Gerrard Butler was amazing in this film but then again he usually is. This film has a great story line which has a lot twists as well. The supporting cast for this film was very good. I would have given this film 5 stars out of 5 but I didn't because I thought the film should have ended differently. Other than the ending this film was amazing and you should see it! |
|

The Road (2009, R)
This movie was very good, very well done. Viggo Mortensen gives an incredible performance in this film. This movie would not have been the same without Viggo in it. The storyline and the writing for this film was quite good. The cinematography was stark, graphic, and very realistic. They give you quite the bleak picture of the apocalypse. The actor who played Viggo's son in the film did a very good job. I liked this film a lot but this film is not up lifting. This film is very serious and tragic, and it is worth seeing. |
