Robin Williams plays a fantastic part in a classic film. The rest of the cast is great too and the plot is quite sensational as it deals with the very tricky topic of divorce and makes it hilarious yet moving. The screenplay is also superb including an epilogue which sums up divorce better than anything I've ever heard.

Probably the slickest film ever made with hilarious sections. The cast and acting are cream of the crop and the storyline is a brilliant one that keeps you guessing all the time.

A superbly realistic story that touches you because of the strength of Dustin Hoffman's acting. He takes a seemingly ordinary role and makes it brilliantly orignial. Meryl Streep is very good too as was Justin Henry and the plot was as superb as the acting.

A brilliant film! Yet another must-see with Edward Norton as the star. He is absolutely superb and has a very good supporting cast backing him up, particularly Edward Furlong. Guy Torry also deserves a mention as he provides comic relief in an otherwise serious film. The plot is excellent and every character is written perfectly.

A film of complete genius. Quentin Tarantino's greatest film has a plot that moves from story to story so smoothly it's a joy to watch. The acting is first rate and the memorable quotes rival that of the Bible's! It's also hilarious in places and is, in short, simply divine.

Hugh Grant's best film by far. He shows that he is not just a chick flick dick. Granted, this could be seen as a bit of a chick flick but if it is then it is a damn good one! Hugh Grant's character, Will, is brilliantly real and someone I could really relate too. Very amusing throughout makes this very special for its genre and a must-see.

A revoultionary film filled with action and intelligent plot. The unique brilliance is so powerfully compelling that it allows you to look beyond Reeves' bad acting. Laurence Fishburne is great but Hugo Weaving steals the show as the cold, calculating Agent Smith. His chilling voice and constant reference to Neo as "Mr Anderson" are hugely entertaining and put this film right at the top.

A fantastic sequel that is even better than part one! It deals with the present, past and future which makes it have an edge over the first and is a joy to watch as the complex yet easy to follow storyline unfolds.

One of few adaptations I would say was better than the book. Where the book is long, drawn out and difficult to read, this film is exciting, enjoyable and easy to follow. Each of Lemuel Gulliver's travels is as brilliant as each other with an astounding range of characters introduced and great acting all round. Ted Danson is particularly superb in both present times and flashbacks but his American accent is a little odd for someone claiming to be an Englishman! That is the masterpiece's only flaw, however, and it sparkles with creativity and great writing.

A phenomenal film! The way it created so much atmosphere in such a small space was unique. Colin Farrell was great but it's Kiefer Sutherland who really steals the show. His cool voice and controlling demeanour make his character a joy to observe - or rather hear. The storyline is exhilarating and interesting and will keep you hooked right through. See it, experience it!

One of the best psychological thrillers I've ever seen. The storyline is intriguing at first and it only gets more so as you discover that this is indeed, as Clive Owen suggests, the perfect bank robbery. The cast is brilliant too.

As good as the original, this sequel bursts with more hilarious moments throughout. A well crafted plot supports laugh after laugh with new characters introduced like Mini-Me and Fat Bastard who are very funny. Another Mike Myers masterpiece must-see!

A stroke of comic genius from Mike Myers and his two equally hilarious characters. The other characters are brilliant too, though, and Will Ferrell's cameo role is very much appreciated. Elizabeth Hurley is good too. The mockery of James Bond is something very unique and works brilliantly. A rare must-see comedy.

I thought Gwyneth Paltrow's English accent was great, despite some critics' opinions, and she was really good. John Lynch was great too as was his friend, Douglas McFerran, but the real shining star was John Hannah who was hilarious and brilliant when being serious too. The plot was unique and a fascinating look at fate.

A work of sheer brilliance. The cast is superb (especially Kevin Spacey who plays an utterly convincing creepy part) and the plot is unique and amazingly compelling. Director David Fincher shows how good he really is. See this film!

A work of genius. So unique and so brilliantly constructed makes Memento a must-see. Guy Pearce is great and his character is written superbly.

A wonderful plot packed with fantastic songs and fantastic acting makes Oliver! a classic in anyone's eyes (even if you don't like musicals!) Oliver Reed is particularly good as the evil Bill Sykes.

David Bowie's finest achievement! The songs are amazingly good, the acting from the inexperienced David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly is simply divine and the puppets are brilliant, bringing all sorts of funny, scary and outrageous characters. Nothing short of a classic.

I saw this at the I-Max and the 3-D scenes were incredible (particularly the best scene in the film where Superman wrestles with the plane!) There were some other truly amazing moments too (like when Superman has a bullet shot into his eye!) A beautiful film with some of the greatest special effects I've ever seen. And Kevin Spacey's performance is utterly fabulous; much better than Gene Hackman's in the original. I prefer Dein Cain's portrayal of Superman, however, as his character has more depth than Brandon Routh's.

Denzel Washington gives his finest performance with his best character. Ethan Hawke and the supporting cast are very good too and the storyline is really cool and really exciting.

Slightly overshadowed by Pulp Fiction but this is still an excellent film (especially considering it's Quentin's first!). With some very good acting and a riveting storyline this film has some really memorable moments making this nothing but immense.

|
| 22 |
Jude Law brings a brilliantly creepy, if brief, part to the film which Tom Hanks doesn't quite match but is still pretty good. Daniel Craig and Paul Newman are also fab and the story is as good as the cast.

This is the greatest film ever! Anyone who hasn't seen this film needs to. Regardless of your gender you will love this film!

The most heart-warming film of all time. A beautiful exploration of hope inside a prison's grey walls. A must see for anyone!

Probably not everyone's cup of tea (particularly if you're a Liverpool fan!) but for me as a die-hard Arsenal fan, this is the only film that combines my love of the beautiful game and my love of film. Sheer brilliance.

Probably the funniest film ever made, this is a fantastic mockery of everything that you can think of! Hilarious from start to finish.

The best horror film I've ever seen. The violence is appropriate and the storyline draws you in with its originality. Exciting and thrilling, this is one of few horror films I would really recommend.

Will Smith's greatest action film. Amazing special effects and action are complimented with an absolutely riveting storyline. Definitely worth a watch if you enjoy very intelligent films.

| 29 |
An amazing film with the greatest special effects ever used in any film. They retain their wow-factor even by today's standards, despite the lack of technology in 1991. The evil robot is at the centre of these remarkable camera tricks and Robert Patrick plays one of the best villains of all time. Arnie is pretty cool too but it's not his film. Unfortunately, the film is slightly marred by the highly irritating Linda Hamilton but, fortunately, the Terminators drown her out.

One of the greatest action films ever. Genius writing and excitement make this film very slick and very special. Essential viewing.

One of the funniest films ever! Its completely outrageous plot is not for everyone but if you like this sort of humour, you'll adore it!

A very whacky film but which really works. It makes you feel every emotion possible and the storyline is simply genius. Don't miss out!

|
| 33 |
A bizarre yet brilliant film with a storyline that doesn't compare with anything that you've seen before. Jim Carrey's performance is not only hilarious but also very heart-warming. This has to be seen by all!

| 34 |
With some great moments and a brilliant cast, this film really delivers. Highly entertaining with plenty of suspense, make it an excellent watch. Didn't quite deliver hilariousness, however.
|
|
| 35 |
Kevin Spacey gives yet another brilliant performance and Sam L. Jackson is damn good too. Although they don't interact much, you instantly recognise that there is great chemistry there. The storyline is very interesting and entertaining on a very high level. It lost something on its second viewing, however.
|
|

Kevin Spacey is brilliant as usual and produces yet another modern gem. An intriguing plot that confuses quite a bit throughout but comes together cleverly at the end makes for fine viewing.

|
| 37 |
Maybe not as good as the first one but it had an even better cast, some great moments and the chemistry between the actors is still as sharp as ever (especially evident in George Clooney and Brad Pitt). The plot was the difference between this and 11 because 11's was more well crafted but this film was still clever and well written.

|
| 38 |
Not as good as the first two but still provides a highly absorbing plot. Maybe a little over the top in places but it wraps off the best comic film trilogy ever nicely!
|
|
| 39 |
A film that brings non-stop action and excitement. Tom Cruise is pretty amusing in places and Dakota Fanning is brilliant. The special effects are some of the greatest ever I think and I loved the look of the aliens. Really creepy! A bit of a disappointing cliché ending, though.

By far Michael Bay's best film. A great cast is supported by superb action sequences. The plot is clever with some good twists and turns but it does get a little predictable towards the end.

|
| 41 |
A really good plot and very witty moments made this film a joy to watch and it's something of a unique film, creating laughs out of a subject never attempted before.

| 42 |
Michael Caine is great in an amusing classic. The very British qualities added to make this film enjoyable. It did drag in several places, however, and seemed too preoccupied on building up to its final mini scene.
|
|
| 43 |
Steve Carell shows how funny he is with this very amusing film. The waxing scene is especially good!
|
|
| 44 |
Creepy and weird, Robin Williams gives a performance like none other before. His portrayal of a disturbing man is just as good as his comic roles. Great film, great plot but the screenplay could have been better.

Alfie
(1966, PG)
Unlike most people, I believe the remake is actually better than this film. Michael Caine is absolutely magnificent and just as good as Jude Law but the storyline of this Alfie is surprisingly different and not nearly as entertaining as the modern one. Still definitely worth watching for Michael Caine's very different, very cold approach to the character.
|
|

A slick, very witty story with some great acting in it. Jude Law is obviously the star of the show and acts as a loveable, yet flawed narrator. His cool looks into the camera are great and very funny. The moral at the end is really good and in all, a thoroughly good watch.

|

An enjoyable film that didn't fall short of the original. Some good acting doesn't make this just another remake. It was a bit predictable in places, though.
