Bowling for Columbine (2002, R)
I totally agree with Michael Moore! There is no reason to sell guns at supermarkets or give them away when opening a bank account! People, YOU DO NOT NEED GUNS TO PROTECT YOUR FAMILY! JUST FORBID THE PURCHASE OF GUNS IN THE STREET! If people can't buy guns at Wal-Mart, the chances that your family will be hurt are extremely small! |

Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992, R)
I AM TRULY IN LOVE WITH THIS MOVIE! This is by far the best horror movie I saw in my entire life. Nothing in this movie can improve, everything here is perfect. Gary Oldman in his best role ever, Winona Ryder & Sadie Frost give brilliant performances and Keanu Reeves, Anthony Hopkins & Tom Waits are great supporting actors. The soundtrack of this movie is the best one I've ever heard. See it and you'll love this version! AND BE AWARE THAT LOVE NEVER DIES! |

Shattered (Butterfly on a Wheel) (2007, R)
I was about to rate this film much lower because I expected it to have a happy end. Moreover the script irritated me because I would have called the cops immediately and told the criminal to kill my kid if he so much wished instead of obeying him. |

Citizen X (1995, R)
I read the book a long time ago, and the book was terrible. That's why I was interested to watch that movie. I can tell you that I was not disappointed at all. Brilliant performances of all actors. The facts are filmed in a very good way, no bloody or scary images but you will not forget the movie, I guarantee. Too cruel. |

Dr. Strangelove Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964, PG)
Brilliant comedy! Full of sarcasm and actually I think that Peter Sellers is a genius. Nevertheless George C. Scott made me laugh a lot too and so did Slim Pickens, sitting and screaming on his flying bomb! :-)) |
|
| 25 |
The Driller Killer (1979, Unrated)
Very odd horror movie! The first half an hour it is quite boring, nothing happens but then all of a sudden the killer gets mad and there's awful scenes! Those murder scenes are then interrupted by a live rock band playing rock'n'roll. Not good rock'n'roll, a gang of losers, but loud it is. So then I understood why at the beginning of the movie there is the following message:This film should be played LOUD.The sound quality of this film is very bad and that's a pity. But I like the ending of the movie very much. It is left to the viewer's imagination. |

Ed Gein (2001, R) |
|
| 27 |
8MM (1999, R)
Not bad, this thriller was quite exciting at some moments. But the presentation of the relationship between the character of Nicolas Cage and his wife (played by Catherine Keener) was disastrous. Not at all convincing. The role played by Joaquin Phoenix was much more convincing. Swedish actor Peter Stormare is ice cold as always... Bra jobbat Peter! |

Elizabeth (1998, R) |
|
| 29 |
Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007, PG-13) |
|
| 30 |
Festen (The Celebration) (1998, R)
When you see it the first time it may be very shocking, so BE WARNED! But I've seen this movie a hundred times and still I'm enjoying every minute of it. In my opinion the best Danish movie ever made, and that is a surprise since it is not directed by the insane genius Lars von Trier, although it is part of von Trier's Dogme series! Thomas Vinterberg did a fabulous job! The entire cast in fact! Endlessly brilliant!!! |

Garfield - The Movie (2004, PG) |
|
| 32 |
Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties (2006, PG) |
|
| 33 |
Hector (1987, Unrated) |
|
| 34 |
Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986, NC-17)
Ouch! This movie is f***ing TERRIBLE, AWFUL, I think I will never see it again. During the first 10 minutes you see at least 5 bodies cruelly murdered in every way possible. And you see the killings, struggles with much blood, and hear the necks cracking. That is too much for me. Don't watch it while eating... HORROR! |
|
| 35 |
Hitler: The Rise of Evil (2003, Unrated) |
|
| 36 |
House of 1000 Corpses (2003, R)
Isn't there a negative rating?? |
|
| 37 |
Ice Age (2002, PG) |
|
| 38 |
The Idiots (2000, R) |
|
| 39 |
Jackie Brown (1997, R) |
|
| 40 |
JFK (1991, R)
"Movie far too complicated. Too many facts are being thrown at the watcher during the first 2 hours. The beginning of the trial scene could draw my attention. Overall this movie is not recommended if you don't have any interest in american politics at all. |
|
| 41 |
Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003, R)
Quentin Tarantino is a living legend! I love this crazy man because he's so passionate in what he's doing! |
|
| 42 |
Kill Bill, Volume 2 (2004, R)
I like this one better than Kill Bill Vol. 1 because you see all those exciting one-to-one encounters between Beatrix Kiddo (played by Uma Thurman) and the separate members of The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. The meeting between Elle Driver (played by Daryl Hannah) and Beatrix Kiddo is the climax of all meetings while that between Elle Driver and Budd (played by Michael Madsen) is in my opinion the cruellest. Many will not agree and will find the grave scene far more cruel but then every one knows Beatrix Kiddo is gonna make it... |
|
| 43 |
Laws of Attraction (2004, PG-13) |
|
| 44 |
Amelie (Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain) (2001, R) |
|
| 45 |
Run Lola Run (Lola rennt) (1999, R)
This is a great movie with an original script. The viewer is confronted with a series of facts which leads to the death of the main character. And you wonder why she is dead already after only 20 minutes or so. But then the viewer sees the same series of scenes over again but now with minor differences leading to the death of the second main character. Then the same scenery all over again, a third version of the script. |

| 58 |
Nattevagten (Nightwatch) (1994, R)
This movie is a very exciting thriller with a great plot! This danish story is about a student who takes a night job at the morgue to finance his studies. There he enters a very scary web of murder and ... worse! |

| 63 |
Pauline & Paulette (2001, PG)
Realistic and beautiful story about two sisters who have to decide what will happen to their retarded sister after the fourth sister dies, the one who took care of the retarded sister. |
|
| 64 |
Premonition (2007, PG-13) |
|
| 65 |
Proof (2005, PG-13)
Apparantly this film is based on a play. I did not find the movie exciting, neither emotional. I love movies which touch my heart. The story was interesting but there's something missing in this movie. Also the mathematical geniuses make me laugh because the stuff that they were reading didn't sound like something a genius could have written. It's a bit difficult to show that on screen. |
|
| 66 |
Reservoir Dogs (1992, R) |
|
| 67 |
Resident Evil (2002, R) |
|
| 68 |
Roger & Me (1989, R)
Michael Moore tries to talk to Roger Smith (president of General Motors during the 80ies, a company based in Flint, MI, hometown of Moore) and asks him if he wants to join him for a visit to Flint, to spend one day with the unemployed formerly GM workers. MM says "USA is the only western country that tells the unemployed to fuck off." In Europe there's social security for the disabled or unemployed. Better than in this film where a woman sells rabbits, as pets or as meat, to avoid starving. We see people being evicted from their homes on X-mas, while Roger Smith is giving his yearly (hypocritical) X-mas speech. MM says: "By laying off people you get less consumers and eventually lose on it". Pat Boone sings at the end: "I'm proud to be an American". RS certainly shouldn't be proud to be an American. MM asked the film company for a deal, which the company kept: to show the movie for free to every unemployed and to pay the rent and mortgages during 2 years of all the people shown in this movie while being evicted. The aim of the movie was in fact to raise the spirits of the umemployed Flint people. THIS FILM SHOULD BE SEEN AND TOLD! |

Salem's Lot (2004, PG-13) |
|
| 70 |
Schindler's List (1993, R) |
|
| 71 |
Seabiscuit (2003, PG-13) |
|
| 72 |
Sid & Nancy (1986, R)
Gary Oldman as Sid Vicious "performing" Frank Sinatra's "My Way". That is truly one of the best scenes I have ever seen in a movie, absolutely brilliant. Gary is super, but then again, I believe he was a teenager in London in the late seventies if I'm not mistaken, so who else could have performed Sid Vicious better than Gary Oldman? |
|
| 73 |
Sliding Doors (1998, R) |
|
| 74 |
Sophie Scholl: The Final Days (2006, PG)
If you like stories based on true facts, you should absolutely not miss this movie! |
|
| 75 |
Speed (1994, R) |
|
| 76 |
Speed 2 - Cruise Control (1997, PG-13) |
|
| 77 |
Stauffenberg (Operation Valkyrie) (2004, PG) |
|
| 78 |
Stephen King's It (1990, Unrated)
After Stanley Kubrick's The Shining and The Green Mile in my opinion the best Stephen King story on screen ever released. |
|
| 79 |
Super Size Me (2004, PG-13)
Morgan Spurlock is in the same league as Michael Moore! The movie may persuade people to avoid or (in my case) to keep avoiding fast food restaurants. And the only way we can stop them from being powerful is making our own dinner at home and eat healthy stuff. That's what I do! And I'm glad! |
|
| 80 |
Surf's Up (2007, PG) |
|
| 81 |
Taxi Driver (1976, R) |
|
| 82 |
Ted Bundy (2002, R)
We all know this story about America's most notorious serial killer. It is very scary when realizing that this man existed. The movie is not for weak hearts but it is filmed very well. Not too much blood. And the story is very close to the original events. It is very interesting to read Ted's original story though before watching the movie. You find the real story here |
