Trainspotting (1996,  R)
Trainspotting
This is the first movie I ever saw with Ewan McGregor and from start to finish I thought he was amazing! The story was great - the characters flawed and richly detailed. Utterly quite perfect!
2
Shallow Grave (1995,  R)
Shallow Grave
Ewan's at his snarky best in this movie.
3
A Life Less Ordinary (1997,  R)
4
The Island (2005,  PG-13)
5
Moulin Rouge! (2001,  PG-13)
Moulin Rouge!
Even though I love this movie, I can't watch it because I can't deal with their tragic love story.
6
Big Fish (2003,  PG-13)
7
Rogue Trader (1999,  R)
8
Nightwatch (1998,  R)

The Pillow Book
Another of Ewan's best!

For fans of Ewan, Christian Bale, and Johnathan Rhys-Meyers.

Nora (2001,  R)
Nora
I love Ewan and he was great in this.
17
Down with Love (2003,  PG-13)
18
Miss Potter (2007,  PG)
Miss Potter
As always, Ewan was great. Renee and Emily weren't so bad either. I just wish Ewan had more screen time.
19
Emma (1996,  PG)
Emma
This needed more Ewan!
20
Little Voice (1998,  R)
21
Brassed Off (1997,  R)
22
The Serpent's Kiss (1997,  R)
The Serpent's Kiss
Visually interesting, not the best story.
23
Blue Juice (1995,  R)
Blue Juice
Ewan in an British surfer movie? I had to have it, even if he has a small part in an otherwise fairly amusing movie.
24
Young Adam (2004,  R)
Young Adam
While the storyline is slow it's beautifully filmed. And Ewan's character was intriguing.
25
Stay (2005,  R)
26
Robots (2005,  PG)
27
Cassandra's Dream (2007,  PG-13)
Cassandra's Dream
Woody Allen has written much better scripts than this. While I thought the performances were decent and the actors great, it was lacking the essence of a great film, so I think it was something in the story. England, though, has never looked better.
