Labyrinth (1986,  PG)
Labyrinth
The appearance of rock god David Bowie adds to the quirkyness of Labyrinth. Bowie provides the soundtrack, which is enchanting and uplifting.
2
The NeverEnding Story (1984,  PG)
The NeverEnding Story
One of the greatest fantasy movies ever made (in its time), and still looks good after 20 odd years. Magical and inspiring, with a soaring musical soundtrack. Top marks.
3
Madagascar (2005,  PG)
Madagascar
Coming from the same studio as Shrek..Madagascar doesnt fail, yet is a little sluggish in parts. Still..a lot of fun, and worth the entry price.
4
Shrek (2001,  PG)
Shrek
What a lot of fun Shrek is. Simply a JOY!!
5
Shrek 2 (2004,  PG)
Shrek 2
One of the rare occurrences where the sequel is better than the original!! Its a great story, and lots of fun to watch. Keep an eye out for No3!!
6
Finding Nemo (2003,  G)
Finding Nemo
Just a great fun movie. Sit back and enjoy the ride!
7
Nanny McPhee (2006,  PG)
Nanny McPhee
Just a lovely escape. Emma Thompson excels as the wise and loving Nanny McPhee who teaches this family the true meaning of love and caring.
8
The Dark Crystal (1982,  PG)
The Dark Crystal
A classic fantasy fable. Well told, and with a touch of wisdom. Is up there with Never Ending Story and the like.
9
Monsters, Inc. (2001,  G)
Monsters, Inc.
Fabby cartoon. Very enjoyable, and fun to watch. Takes us inside the world of monsters who are paid to scare children, where in this case the two worlds collide to a charming end!!
10
Over the Hedge (2006,  PG)
Over the Hedge
Very funny, and very warm hearted. U fall in love with all the characters, and all very well voiced by the talent behind the scenes. Loved Hammy!!
11
Ice Age (2002,  PG)
Ice Age
Simply another great fun flick. The action/drama is well structured, with some great laughs had along the way.
12
Monster House (2006,  PG)
Monster House
Only so-so. Enjoyable, but doesnt quite rate amongst the more sophisticated toons like Over The Hedge etc. It is more enjoyable with the 3D glasses..a little more "interactive".
13
Cars (2006,  G)
Cars
Entertaining..I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Perhaps a little too sugary, but it is a Disney movie. Still..I enjoyed it.
14
The Golden Compass (2007,  PG-13)
The Golden Compass
Fantastic...this one really makes u feel good inside. The special effects are amazing, the storyline is well plotted, and not confusing. All the cast work well together, and its especially good to see Daniel Craig, and Eva Green. Exciting chases and fight scenes...basically the whole thing is down right fabulous. Very much along the lines of Narnia and Lord of the Rings...this is a fable, and an epic story that needs to be seen.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008,  PG)
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Fitting follow up to the first instalment of the Narnia franchise. Its another 1000 years on in Narnia, only a year later for the children...and war is raging in the magical land. Massive battle scenes, and lots of lessons to be learnt once more. A great story and an enjoyable 2 and a half hours.
16
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008,  PG)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Rather ho-hum addition to the Star Wars franchise, this one left a little disappointed. The animated format left a lot to be desired, I felt there was no real excitement, and the dilaogue even seemed half hearted, as though the writers just rolled this out on a whim. Only so so this time round.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2) (2008,  PG-13)
Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2)
A good fun flick. It isnt necessary to see the first one to apprecaite this movie, you can still learn enough about the characters to enjoy this. Witty one liners, great action/fight sequences, and a great story line, and a steady pace keeps this one interesting. Good stuff.

WALL-E (2008,  G)
WALL-E
Absolutely gorgeous fun. The touching storyline tugs at the heartstrings, and the look and feel of the movie is just perfect. A mix of ET, and Short Circuit, dollops of romantic comedy thrown in!!

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ice Age 3) (2009,  PG)
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ice Age 3)
Delightfully lighthearted and wistful, this movie charmed the pants off me and then some. This is one movie you have to see for sheer escapism!! The 3D added to the charm. Totally loved this from start to end. Allrounded, the jokes worked on many levels, there were jokes for the adults as well as the kids. True artform this!!

G-Force (2009,  PG)
G-Force
Sweet natured flick about a bunch of special agent rodents who have to save the world from scary killer appliances. Had a ball watching it...and the talent involved was well used. Great fun...
