Silver Bullet
Love the simplicity of it. And yet, there's nuance and fun to be found in the simplicity. Gary Busey seems born to chew scenery, so he's tailor made for this role. LOVE the lynch mob scenes. Just good clean werewolf fun.

Fright Night (1985,  R)
Fright Night
Not even a guilty pleasure. Just a straight forward vampire movie, executed to perfection. Stephen Geoffrey's really gives Roddy McDowell a run for his money in the Best Scenery Chewer department. Lots of fun.

The Howling (1981,  R)
5
Creepshow (1982,  R)
Creepshow
The first horror movie I ever sat down and forced myself to watch without running out of the room. While "The Crate" is clearly the best (Fritz Weaver's performance is deceptively hilarious), "Something To Tide You Over" is a very juicy 2-man show between Ted Danson & Leslie Nielsen. We're all so used to seeing him do comedy now, people forget that Leslie spent most of his career doing rolls like this - as The Heavy. He plays the sociopath to perfection.

Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 (1988,  R)
Hellbound: Hellraiser 2
This is actually my favorite in this series. It's just so crazy and over the top, and there are no real good guys at all. So you, as the audience, are forced to pick which bad guy to root for. Fiendishly delicious.

Phantasm II (1988,  R)

Psycho II (1983,  R)
Psycho II
Just because it's a sequel to one of Hitchcock's best, sans Hitchcock doesn't mean that this movie automatically sucks. In fact, it's a pretty smart and really engaging murder mystery disguised as a slasher movie. I really felt for Anthony Hopkins as Norman Bates, desperately clinging to his hard-won sanity as unseen forces stalk him and those around him like lions just waiting to strike. Can I also say that I've had a crush on Meg Tilly from the first time I saw this movie? I think I was 10. :-)
