El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth) (2006, R)
Wow this movie is one of a kind dark and intriguing, it is beautifully directed, excellent acting the villian is one of the best caught on film. I had high expectations going in to see this movie and it did not disapoint refreshingly original, the creatures will leave you in awe in how wierd and original they are. Definetley one of the best films I've ever seen. A must see by everyone. |

Chinjeolhan geumjassi (Lady Vengeance) (Sympathy for Lady Vengeance) (2005, R)
Out of the Trilogy of Vengeance I have to say that this is the second best of Chan-Wook Park's movies Oldboy being the best by far, but this one still has the directors style written all over it its disturbing, violent, stylish, strangely poetic and unique, all mixed together with strong performances, themes and great character development. |

Mou gaan dou (Infernal Affairs) (2002, R)
The Departed is an exact replica of this film for the most part their is just one big difference Mark Walberg's character isn't in this one but it is just as good as the Departed but the Departed is slightly better. But I still want to see parts 2 & 3 of this version just to see if they will also be remade by an american director. |

Man cheng jin dai huang jin jia (Curse of the Golden Flower) (2007, R)
Visually beuatiful, the story is filled with greed, vengence and political intrigue, The movie starts off a little slow but more than makes up for it in the action sequences. Chow Yun-Fat does an excellent job in his role as a ruthless Emperor which you will love to hate. |

Malena (2000, R) |
|
| 28 |
Apocalypto (2006, R)
Wow, I have to say that I was expecting this film to be horribly bad and unwatchable but was the exact opposite. The story is compelling even though it's nothing new but its setting is what gives it a fresh look. It's much better than Mel's Passion of the Christ. The movie is very intense but worth watching. |

Goya's Ghosts (2007, R)
Very Interesting movie about the Inquisition. The make up effects that were used on Natalie Portman were awesome you don't even recognize her when you see her after 15 years of torture. All the actors due a great job in performances and you just can't wait for Javier Bardem's character to get what he deserves at the end. |
