Watched it back-to-back. One of the best films I've ever seen. Great direction and editing. I was fortunate enough to meet the editor of this masterpiece. See it, love it.
Great Campy samurai gangster film. Mixes humour, drama & violence quite nicely. Ahead of it's time. Suzuki was blacklisted for years after making this one.
Awesome flick. Every scene runs about 10-20 minutes and is shot with a steadycam without any noticable cuts. It unfolds Momento style. The first 20 mins is tough to watch because of the camera movements and innaudible low frequency sound.
Truffaut' semi-autobiographical story of troubled youth is played out to perfection. The camera captures the Paris locations beautifully. A masterpiece from the french new wave. A must see.
This Korean gem is like nothing I've seen before. So many cool things to appreciate in this movie. It also boasts an interesting mish-mash of genres -included: action/comedy/sci-fi and drama. A must for everybody.
Starts out really slow, but once they mention nitroglycerine....the movie takes off. I found myself laughing and cringing during the same sequences. A timeless classic, worthy of all it's praise.
Why it took me so long to see this, I don't know. A near masterpiece and one of the best films of 2007. It's visually stunning and will leave you inspired.
Some fantastic camera work and sound design really help sell this gem of a film. A masterpiece for the vampire genre that had me saying 'wow, that was incredible' many times while viewing. I strongly recommend this one, *
