Holy shit, this film was just what I needed afterwatching a string of pathetic attempts at horror. I can't remember the last time I was glued to the screen and drawn to the events that took place in a horror film. There were parts that didn't have anything to do with horror, but I think that was made to ease the viewer so that they are more terrified later on. The realism was intense, most of the time I felt like I was actually in the film, which made the experience even more incredible. This film is for people who think the Horror genre in general has become a joke, so now they can watch this and shit themselves from fear. I think I've finally seen a Horror film that is actually made to capture fear and release it upon viewing. Just amazing.

Wow, this was some pretty sick shit. There was no fun unlike in other slashers. At least here there was a very good attempt at realism and explaining the psycho-woman's motives which seemed fair enough imo. Definititely enough blood and gore as I would expect from such a film. Not quite the ending I wanted, but it did make sense the most. This is horror for people who can't stand typical horror slashers. Quality stuff.

This film has the "hardest to kill" Vampires, which is why I like it.

Aah yes! now this is a good slasher-flick with probably the best ending I've seen in that genre. Glover just plays the coolest killer and the death scenes were very satisfying as well.

30 Days of Night (2007,  R)
30 Days of Night 4.5 Stars
Very cool vampire action-flick. Just loved the savage killings troughout the film (finally a more a recent film with sufficient gore content). Danny Huston was brilliant, the rest..didn't care for as I was rooting for the vampires. The ending wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but could have been much better i.e. the vampires accomplishing what they set out to do in the first place. Also considering the films length there was too much focus on the humans (who I had no sympathy for whatsoever). Nevertheless beats about 90% of Action films containing vampires.

Now this was a highly entertaining Horror-Action film, way better than Death Proof I thought. Didn't really care much for any of "good" characters, so I found their deaths amusing. As this was meant to be a "typical" old-school Horror the ending was nothing special, but the OTT gore and action scenes definitely made up for it.

Hehe, a Slasher-Horror done right, typical plot, typical characters that no-one should give a shit about, but lots of cool gore scenes and finally a good ending for this type of genre.

Hilarious stuff with over the top gore, bad acting and a nice bloody ending. Really not bad considering this film is 30 years old
