Favorite Sci-Fi/Monster Movies

A Classic! One of the greatest films ever made. Still a great tale and well done these years later.

Much, much better and more cohesive than the American version (which doesn't suck, BTW) and a better morality play to boot. Big monster wiping out a city. What's not to love?

A nice morality play. Plenty of action, and while it's a period piece, it holds up fairly well. Worth watching.

Slap dash movie that almost works, in spite of itself. I love the ending. Puts things at a definite end.

Shakespeare as Space Opera. By today's standards, it looks a little cheesy. Get past that and you have a wonderful film. Easily one of the best SF films of its era and quite possibly of the last half of the last century.

Making sense of the comics mess that is The X-Men and making a movie out of it that makes sense and works was no small task. This was done well here. Good stuff.

This film suffered from the overly long set up, and too short conclusion. Other than that, it was great fun and well done.

It's hard to make a good sequel. They did.

Gamera is Really Neat! He is Full of Turtle Meat!

Like everyone else has said, Robert Downey, Jr. nailed this one. It was almost perfect. The guy playing Rhodey was about as interesting as a rotting potato, and since he was one of Tony's buds, this was important. One of the better Comic Book movies ever.
