Wow!! Go See This ASAP!!!!
I have seen most of the big movies this summer, which really has been a great summer. But 'The Dark Knight' has been the film that I have most anticipated, really ever since it was announced and the first info started showing up. I bought my midnight IMAX tickets about a month ahead of time and it was a good thing I did because they were sold out pretty soon afterwards. At 12:05am I witnessed one of the greatest comic-book based films ever, quite possibly the greatest. I need to see it again before I can say that.

The film starts shocking and explosive and doesn't stop until the credits begin to roll. The cast is perfect all around. The story is amazing, very intense and disturbing at times but amazing. The images shown on screen accompanied by the terrific musical score created a constant spine-tingling sensation in me that lasted the entire film. By the way, the soundtrack is truly worth owning in its own right.

Bale is again great as Batman, Eckhart is great as D.A. Harvey (Two-Face) Dent, and as I said before the rest of the cast are also great. I was constantly looking for signs of Heath Ledger in his portrayal of The Joker, but he wasn't there. He was so into his character that it's the one of most complete characters I've ever seen, and becomes one of the greatest movie villains ever.

If I could give this film a higher rating than 5 stars I would. This is not only a great sequel to the also great 'Batman Begins'. It is truly a great film by itself.

Amazing special effects! Davy Jones and his crew are the most amazing computer animated character's that I have seen so far. Bill Nighy brings so much character into Davy Jones that it makes him more incredible.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008,  PG-13)
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 4.5 Stars
'Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' starts out with the usual Indy bang, as Indy escapes Russian KGB agents only to find himself needing escape from an atomic bomb test in New Mexico. Of course he survives via some dubious circumstances, but it makes sense with where he was. The movie is ripe with nods to the 50's and to a few of past Lucas and Spielberg films. I have heard many of the same reviews as everyone else, about 'KOTCS' not living up to the previous films in this series. But personally I feel the complete opposite. It WAS an Indiana Jones movie. Now I could have lived without Shia LaBeouf swinging through the trees with monkeys, but it doesn't hurt the film in my opinion. I don't think that Cate Blanchett brings anything special to her role that could have been played by probably anybody. But again this is nothing that hurts the film.

It seems that a lot of people don't care for the fact that the archeological item that 'Jones' is in search for doesn't have any religious historical past as the Holy Grail( Indiana Jones 3) and The Ark of The Covenant( Indiana Jones 1) do. Though again the Crystal Skull fits with the 50's plot.

Harrison Ford does a great job bringing a believable 60 year old Indy back to the screen for an exciting new adventure. Shia LaBeouf is again amazing me with his abilities as an actor. LaBeouf takes on the persona of a biker teen in the 50's and makes it work. Will he perhaps take the 'Whip' in the future? All in all this is a fun adventure movie and great installment to a great series. I can't wait to add this to my movie collection.
