Entre les Murs (The Class)
i like the Cinema of Europe and Asia , more .
the falling of Americans films make me more supporter of these films . but the cinema in Europe is in a crisis , mostly for economic reasons . so my rating is based more in emotions ....but its a very good film anyway

170
Tango (1993,  Unrated)
Tango
very good film , with the humor of Lecond ....i think that Phillipe Noiret is perfect in his role ..."Doctors without frontiers , nurses without underwear.." a quote by Phillipe...
171
Pink Flamingos (1972,  NC-17)
Pink Flamingos
very clever film , but somehow overrated
i like Waters anyway
172
In the Cut (2003,  R)
In the Cut
i have read a lot of critics about this film ....many people , special Americans had negative opinions ..some said that was porno !!!!!
but the truth is that the fear made people negative . the city where the heroes live is the reality , and this reality we deny to accept . there is a full confusion
nobody knows who is the good , who is the evil , but also goodness is not pure . the city reminds the raining city in "seven " but its more complicated.
the film does not show the future , shows the present , we don t like this , we try to hide to our little "safe" cells , avoiding the truth . yes , a new dark age is here
173
More (1969,  Unrated)
174
Secret Things (2003,  Unrated)
Secret Things
another film , that american friends must see in dvd . of course i understand the puritanism...but that its life . not as even in this film . more wild and with worst photography ...with out voices so under control of the theatrical studies .
but these stories happen all the time
175
Amen (2003,  Unrated)
Amen
a very brave film . with " tight " direction and very good scenic , Gavras , shows us the the mass murder of Jewish BUT from another most unknown point of view . this of Pop Pious , who tried to success 2 things ...one the death of Jewish but also and the attack of Nazi against Stalin and Soviet Union ...dont forget that Russia was always Christian Orthodox . also worked in the way , so Croatia to leave Serbia alone against Nazi ..
the film is again useful cause Vatican is prepossessing to name Pop Pious as Saint ....of course this is my analysis .....and i am not dogmatic
176
The Gambler (1974,  R)
The Gambler
an almost forgotten film . a looser addicted in gambling ....maybe the best performance of J. Caan ...there are many elements from " the player " of "Dostoevsky's book ....very good cast with James Woods and Lauren Hutton
177
Babettes Gæstebud (Babette's Feast) (1987,  G)
Babettes Gæstebud (Babette's Feast)
well its a great film . i watched it in 1987 and 1-2 times after ...Denmark and the countries around have a great mythology . and in the most very special films the religion element have a basic role . SO when a good friend remind it to me , the first thought was the pastor father . so this excellent film has another path to explore someone who wants to find many tools to "read " one book or a film
the religion element leads to guiltily , the forgiveness , the drama ....here all are well balanced so we can speak for a low profile masterpiece .
178
Le Boucher (1971,  Unrated)
179
Croupier (2000,  Unrated)
Croupier
very good British film . a writer takes a second job in a casino . a film without ordinary "bad faces " and the known mafia .
180
The Cincinnati Kid (1965,  Unrated)
The Cincinnati Kid
maybe the best role of Steve McQueen ? a young man deciles that is the time to play against an much older player who is a legend . in this role is the old star Ed. G. Robinson { Al Capone in much older films } who gives a mature and great performance...Very known and the whole cast in excellent performances .
the director Norman Jewison , does not build a film in the poker only . the game goes over 3 days , so we can learn about the characters . a must see film . of course there are all the elements of an agony film , for the winner , so it keeps your interest all the time
181
La Piscine (The Swimming Pool) (The Sinners) (1969,  Unrated)
La Piscine (The Swimming Pool) (The Sinners)
old , good film with the eroticism of Romy Schneider and young those days Jane Birkin , made a romantic beautiful film
182
The Fog (1979,  R)
The Fog
maybe the best film of Carpenter ....the fog as covers the town , searching the bad which wants revenge ...the word zombie is wrong ..Janet Leigh real mother of Jamie Lee Curtis was the leading actress in Psycho of great Hitchcock ,
183
The Strange Affair of Uncle Harry (Guilty of Murder?) (1945,  Unrated)
184
V for Vendetta (2006,  R)
V for Vendetta
an unusual film in 2006 . At the time that the great studios , feed us with film full of fear , for aliens and dark prophecies almost is in the theaters the "disasters " of 2012 , this film talks for revolutions . i sow again this film , i had put the stars long time back , and today i wrote this small text
185
Life Is Cheap... But Toilet Paper Is Expensive (1990,  Unrated)
186
Ladies in Lavender (2005,  PG-13)
Ladies in Lavender
what to write somebody here ? the story is simple ....Two old ladies who live in Cornwall , find and take home , a young Polish violinist ...they teach English to them ...all these in 1936 ...
the roles of the two old sisters is performed by two , for me , holy female actresses ...JUDI AND MAGGIE , MAGGIE AND JUDI . Judi Dench and Maggie Smith ...only for this i could see the film .....Judi has 5 Batfa and i think that is two times Academy award , for the one i m sure , was in Chocolat .....She also plays M , in Jame s Bond films .....Maggie has a lot of prizes and two times Academy award { i m sure here }
a low profile direction by the great actor Charles Dance Dance....
another excellent English film
187
Eden à l'Ouest (Eden Is West) (2009,  Unrated)
Eden à l'Ouest (Eden Is West)
first is a road movie ...Very rare in our times...I AM a big fan of good films i the road ...the little info are not right ... Our hero starts a big trip in many countries until Paris ...its not a drama or as i read somewhere else satire ...its a tender film , emotional . our hero has many difficulties , but gains with hope
the last scene is brilliant
188
Chelovek s kino-apparatom (Man with a Movie Camera) (1929,  Unrated)
Chelovek s kino-apparatom (Man with a Movie Camera)
the director loved machinery?looms, trolley cars, speeding automobiles. He also loved cinematic tricks?freeze frames, superimpositions, speeded-up action and slo-mo. Technically it is a documentary, but really it is a poetic tribute to modernism's hopeful beginnings
189
Meet Me In St. Louis (1944,  Unrated)
