Wrongly advertised as "The Feel-Good Film of the Decade", Slumdog Millionaire is a fantastic achievement by Danny Boyle.
3
Quite possibly the worst film of the year.
4
I can imagine that the 3D version makes this film better than what the 2D version delivered.
5
Most of the mainstream audiences would turn their nose up at Frost/Nixon . It's a film that shouldn't be missed.
6
The film tries to introduce too many characters. By the end of it, your left aimlessly trying to figure out what's actually going on.
7
Bolt
(2008, PG)
Even without the 3D aspects of the film, I still would of found it just as enjoyable. Something tells me Disney will carry this 3D trend on for some time to come.
8
Am I scared? No not really.
9
One film was clearly enough.
10
Not much to comment on really. To say the least - it was quite bad.
11
Astonishingly well acted by the two lead roles - but some performaces were a little over-done.
12
Here we have romance - which there's lots of, comedy - which there isn't much of and music - which you don't really notice. You guessed it - just another rom-com.
13
What planet does the film industry think we're on?
14
Considerably well-constructed "reimagining" of the Friday the 13th series.
15
This clunky dialogued, nerdy themed so called "comedy" is no role model to other comedy films.
16
A masterful piece of work from Clint Eastwood.
17
I'm *just* not that into this film.
18
With some extravagant action sequences The International falls noticeably flat during the closing stages.
19
This film adaptation doesn't quite stick to the 1980s graphic novel - even so, Watchmen is visually stunning, gripping and highly original. A must see.
20
Hush
(2009, Unrated)
A very tense British thriller.
21
Don't let the "based on a true story" garbage draw you into seeing this.
22
Loses something special in the last half-hour.
23
As it progresses it becomes even worse - and I mean the film itself, not the violence.
24
It's very rare that I find a Nicolas Cage film that I like. This is one I like.
25
Wolverine can only be described as a below average superhero film.
26
The title implies the film to be fast and furious - unfortunately, its only fast and not furious.
27
The Uninvited consists of some fine performances but suffers from predictable plot twists.
28
Just leave your brain at the door and enjoy.
29
Well crafted thriller with A-list cast and twist, after twist, after twist - but there's something wrong about State of Play that I just can't put my finger on.
30
A combination of stop-motion animation and stunning visuals, Coraline is not to be missed.
31
Much better than The Da Vinci Code . Angels & Demons isn't boring, dull and confusing, but its far from perfect.
32
Expectations were low. 126 minutes later - expectations were exceeded.
33
Night at the Museum 2 is more of what you've already seen before. Unfortunately, there's no fun to be had here.
34
Gross, slightly silly - yet highly entertaining. Horror fans couldn't ask for more.
35
Seen. Suffered. Hated.
36
It's not as bad as the critics say it is - but not as fantastic as others say.
37
Credit can only be given for its originality.
38
Why this film recieved so much hate is beyond me. It's good, harmless family fun.
39
This is by far, much better than the original.
40
There's one word to describe this - bad.
41
There's more special effects, more in-your-face-action and more epic robot battles than you can shake a stick at.
42
Sunshine Cleaning has an interestingly dark plot and is oddly hilarious at the same time. On a side note, Emily Blunt is the true star of this film.
43
Concentrates to much on the stylized violence instead of an interesting plot.
44
Fun, funny and entertaining - just for the first half.
45
Even the A-list cast can't save this. It's boring, long and doesn't make much sense. A massive disappointment.
46
It's rubbish, rubbish, rubbish.
47
The Reader features strong lead roles, especially from Kate Winslet, although the strong performaces of this Oscar-winning film can't keep viewers from feeling slightly disinterested.
48
Highly offensive, vastly vulgar and very political - but it's better than Borat - and I'd be lying if I said I didn't laugh at all.
49
Why, why, why?
50
It's far to preditable to enjoy, or be funny for that matter.
51
The Half-Blood Prince fails to match the fantasy aspect that the past films in the franchise had done so well.
52
Delivers what it sets out to do - keep the audience in suspense.
53
Moon
(2009, R)
You can't help but think about 2001: A Space Odyssey whilst watching Moon . Moon is simple, but its no masterpiece.
54
There is simply nothing original about The Ugly Truth - although it was oddly more enjoyable than expected.
55
Big on action and special effects, small on plot - kids will most definitely enjoy.
56
Brilliantly directed, well acted horror flick with a killer twist.
57
The slow build up is followed by what can only be described as a very-dramatic, very nifty ending.
58
Inglorious? No - this film is completely the opposite.
59
A surprisingly enjoyable family film.
60
It's watchable, but everything seems to happen by coincidence.
61
There isn't one laugh in the whole film. Avoid at all costs.
62
If you've seen the past films in the franchise you should know the drill by now. However, this final instalment of the Final Destination series is by no means the best, but it's not the worst either.
63
Gadgets, gizmo's, guinea Pigs, in 3D... no, sorry, not good enough.
64
Rubbish. Boring. Predictable. Not worth wasting 85 minutes of your life for.
65
500 Days of Summer is far more clever than the average rom-com.
66
For a film with such high expectations, District 9 delivers very little.
67
With its million decibel sound that makes you jump, horrible dialogue, some cliché moments, and the fact that it sometimes doesn't know whether it's a horror or a comedy film, Sorority Row fails at every aspect needed to create a decent slasher flick.
68
A disappointment - to say the least.
69
Fame
(2009, PG)
Fame is Kevin Tancharoen first feature film - quite frankly he shouldn't even start to think about a second.
70
Interesting and intense - but sadly falls apart in the last half hour.
71
Sadly The Soloist lacks in keeping the plot together - which is quite clearly shown in the last hour.
72
Very bloody, very brutal, and very boring.
73
Up
(2009, PG)
Pixar have once again delivered a brilliant animated adventure film. However, 3D is still not all it's cracked up to be.
74
The Imaginarium is teeming with visual inventiveness, but is almost impossible to follow.
75
After the dull Saw V , Saw VI doesn't satisfy its audience enough for the franchise to redeem itself.
76
This Is It is a touching tribute and offers an insight to Michael Jackson as a performer.
77
Trick 'r Treat is a film thats been sitting on a shelf for quite some time - in the end, it was worth the wait.
78
Even if Paranormal Activity is slightly overrated and overhyped, its a very interesting film.
79
The truth is, this film is a gimmick, completely laughable, and instantly forgettable.
80
The plot is completely predictable deeming it a typical rom-com.
81
Setting aside some shoddy editing, Che: Part One is both well acted and well directed.
82
2012
(2009, PG-13)
A film built on special effects alone is not one that all will enjoy.
83
Boring from start to finish.
84
A complete mix of terrible direction and awful acting.
85
Is Anybody There? is the only film in quite some time that is completely predictable, yet fully enjoyable.
86
New Moon - the stale second instalment to the already stale predecessor.
87
Law Abiding Citizen is mainly lots of references to past films, most noticeably, Saw and Silence of the Lambs .
88
The poster advertises The Descent: Part 2 as "The feel sh*t scared film of the decade" - can't argue with that. Everything that was wrong with The Descent has been corrected in this follow up.
89
The Box holds the key to a complete mixture of dreadful acting, some terrible dialogue and a 115 minute running time that seems never ending.
90
The film seems far to short and lacks in detail - it also lacks a director who doesn't really seem to know what audience the film is aimed at.
91
Avatar
(2009, PG-13)
Avatar delivers ten out of ten on a technical level - however, a film this large can only come with its disadvantages; it's somewhat to long, and occasionally suffers from dodgy dialogue.
