Jackie Chan plus Bruce Lee = Tony Jaa...
Notice I have no comments about Tony Jaa's movie storylines. I must say though, the single take shot of the fighting up the stairs in the evil resturant that is over 4 minutes is quite an amazing feat. It took 6 tries to get that one take.
The entire first 100 minutes is a torturingly slow building of suspense and tension that leads to the final intense 15 minutes of violent mutilation. Gives me the creepies.
Certainly nothing new here story-wise. It does, of course, have the prerequisite martial arts insanity that anyone watching will have come for. Something just seemed fresh about it, however, I can't put my finger on it.
