A Streetcar Named Desire
What can be said by my shitty little reviews that hasnt been said a million times over by proffesionals! This is a fucking masterpiece. I finally got around to watching it for the first time and i cant wait to give it another veiwing!

On the Waterfront (1954,  Unrated)
On the Waterfront
What can one say that hasnt already been said about this masterpeice!!??
Brando fucking ruled!!! Thankgod the producers fired Sinatra to hire Brando for the part!! This is Brando at his very best. And Karl Maldens no slouch either!
If you cant dig this film you better stick to Steven Segal films sucka!
3
The Wild One (1954,  Unrated)
The Wild One
Brando and Marvin in the same film!! The Wild One is the quintessential biker/ rebel film. Brando is great, as always. Hes a genius just to watch. And then to have Lee Marvin crash the party was an extra special treat! Theres a great scene involving Brando and Marvins character fist fighting and MArvin lying on the ground telling Brando how much he loves him and they should go have a beer together. Typical Marvin there! Great stuff.
4
The African Queen (1951,  Unrated)
The African Queen
my favorite Bogart film.
5
The Long, Long Trailer (1953,  G)
The Long, Long Trailer
very funny film. with the cast of I Love Lucy.
6
The Horse's Mouth (1958,  Unrated)
The Horse's Mouth
Incredibly hilarious film has Guinness as an obssessed painter who's social skills are rather mad. Guinness's sweet soothing voice is replaced with that of a man who probably gargles turpentine in the morning. And his antisocial antics make way for some halarious moments including crank calls and even placing himself in a house were the owners go on holiday for weeks just so he can paint his vision of feet! This is a film that should always be mentioned when talking Guinness! Its a masterpiece just like Gulleys paintings!
7
The Defiant Ones (1958,  Unrated)
The Defiant Ones
Undoubtedly a major message film for its time, The Defiant ones still holds weight in its message of equality. Poitier and Curtis give some of thier best performances here. Aside from the message, this is a great prison break film. Tracking the two antiheros through swamps a lynch hungry town, Theres even an appearance fron Lon Chany Jr.
Unforgetable and highly recommended!
8
Rebel Without a Cause (1955,  PG-13)
Rebel Without a Cause
Rebel Without a Cause is brilliant. It story of teenage youth, lost and in trouble, holds up just as as well today as it did when released. Every one should see this at least once!
9
12 Angry Men (Twelve Angry Men) (1957,  Unrated)
10
The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956,  PG)
The Man Who Knew Too Much
A fine thriller from Hitchcock. Stewart is incredible as always and Doris Day does a fine job too. I was pleasently suprised to see that Reggie Nalder played the part of an assassin. Its always a good time when hes on the screen.
The climax wasnt exactly all it should of been. But non the less a good film.
11
Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954,  G)
Creature from the Black Lagoon
one of my all time favorite classic monster movies.
12
Revenge of the Creature (1955,  Unrated)
Revenge of the Creature
As with the original, Creature From the Black Lagoon, the gill man is the victim. He is the one we feel sorry for. He is kidnapped, tortured and shackled. His home is trashed, polluted and blown to bits. He is not the aggresor. Man is.
KInda poetic eh? Well the sequel finds him being taken from his Lagoon home and brought to Florida. Were he is kept in a seaworld type aquarium. Revenge is a decent sequel. It doesnt rehash the same setting as the first. But it lacks some of the atmosphere the original film had. The Lagoon was a great setting. Fortunatly the film does get the Creature back to a natural setting near the end. This is one of the better Universal monster series.
Oh yea i almost forgot..Clint Eastwood has a very minor role in the film.
13
I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957,  Unrated)
I Was a Teenage Werewolf
Heres a great B-movie. Michael Landon's got anger problems and with the help of a mad doctor his situation doesnt get better. Teenage Werewolf is a classic and a must see for fans of 50's horror and sci-fi
14
Shack Out on 101 (1955,  Unrated)
Shack Out on 101
Heres a really wacked out film about a diner thats a front for communist spies. A very young Lee Marvin plays a cook named Slob! And hes every bit of his name. There are random moments of total halarity like when MArvin and Keenan Wynn are lifting weights in the diner, or when Wynn is wearing a scuba suit while holding a spear gun acting like hes on the bottom of the ocean. This film is insane, sleazy And highly recomended! TCM started to play it recently...so check it out!!
