Rocky IV (1985,  PG)
Rocky IV
Featuring the greatest training montage ever to appear in a movie, and perhaps the greatest of all time. Here it is! the greatest training sequence know to man. I dare anyone to find a better workout montage.
Here is rocky complete with gee i joe beard, which shows hes been doing nothing but training for ...6 straight months, hes so focused he doesnt even bother to to groom his facial hair, now thats intense. Meanwhile they are using enough equipment on drago to launch a space shuttle enterage.i think those machines are doing everything but his taxes Drago has joined up in the Jose Canseco club complete with ID card and autographed book. I think the fight would have been more suitable to take place ontop of that mountain, with the loser being forced to sleep with bridgete neilson. Ohno!

Rocky V (1990,  PG-13)
Rocky V
I dont care what anyone else says Rocky 5 has heart and strong values. It does really well to show how great a character Rocky is. although sometimes misguided. Theres alot of emotion tied into this movie that hits deep and hits hard. For instance Rocky's bond with his son serves as the foundation for his happiness in the future, and helps him realise he doesnt need to be in the spotlight or in the ring , because his loving family is what matters most, and by the end of the movie you feel the satisfaction and peace of mind. There couldn't possibly be a better ending to the series than the final scene. I wish alot of the negative response to this film would dissappear. I liked just about everything they put into this. The only thing I truly missed was the acting talents of Carl Weathers, but newcomers Tommy Morrison and Sage Stallone were fantastic, there was even a classic scene with the legend Burgess Meredith, that was just unforgettable. Even though Rocky 5 certainly isnt the best of the series it remains one of my favorites.

Blood and Bone (2009,  R)
Blood and Bone
Look out Ya'll here comes MJW. Im talkin bout Michael Jai White, the modern day Mike Tyson, no more like da black Bruce Lee. None other than the man behind the make up of Spawn, MJW does some awesome stunts and action moves that are out of this world. He's truley skilled and talented beyond words. His fighting style is off the chain, ferocious and faster than lighting making him look cool the whole way through.

In this movie MJW plays an ex con, seeking revenge for his best friends murder and set up. Needless to say he more than gets the job done, setting wrong right. The way he does it, 1 fight at a time in the world of ugly, illegal, street brawling competition, where the winner takes it all and the loosers go home busted, beaten , and broke.

A lot of top ranked pr fighters make the scene including Kevin Fergusson aka Kimbo Slice as a ruthless prison thug, and world renown female fighting sensation, Gina Carano . Other big MMA names like ,Bob the beast Sapp as Hammerman, Maurice Smith, and Ernest the Cat Miller perform, dooin what they do best. Nice to see real fighters getting camera time and a paycheck.

This movie aint no low budget deal, its got good editing, a hot soundtrack, a talented cast, and al in all not a bad script for a movie about street fights. If you liked Cradle 2 the Grave or Romeo must Die, you gotta check this out. Its Cool, its Bad, and its Bloody.

Expect to see some real brutality, sex appeal, hustlin, playa hatin, gang bangin, ghetto drama. the works. This is just a cool film.

Do you consider yourself a real macho guy? a manly man? huh? well I bet you'll like watching this no holds barred bad ass balls to the wall beat em till they bleed action smash up. Its a prison flick about greed and manipulation. Go figure.
Its got a bunch of MMA wannabie or rejects from the imaginary show "So you think you can fight?" The Big boy in this flick is called Da President and hes a big bald angry black man ( Surprise )
yes and he wants to make you his Biotch.
If your wondering what he might look like, go google an image of Bobby Lashley and imagine a lesser version.

Besides him we got your typical, Asian dude, skin head, hey theres even an irish guy this time isnt that nice, then of corse theres the clean cut kind hearted tough guy that wants to get his family back.

Anyway, this movie centers around glorified cage fights between prisoners broadcasted over the internet to entrtain rich folk,(probably Donald Trump )

If your expecting to see fancy moves like a flying roundhouse to the face or a slow mo uppercut, your in for a big dissapointment.

It doesnt even have any sloppy MMA, just a bunch of dudes brawling and bleeding supposedly fighting to the death.

It starts to turn into a skin flick, the likes youd see at 11pm on Cinemax. Like a 3rd rate porn.

Pretty pathetic, but if you enjoy a good sweat and muscle film go ahead and watch, but dont say I never told ya.

I believe this was the 3 part OVA which was the finest anime film produced in a long time. The graphics are top quality. The story is actualy not bad and the action is quite good.

Fighting (2009,  PG-13)
Fighting
A ghetto white boy comes from the suburbs to the city to escape his past, he finds the only way he can survive is by hustling, and desperately competeing in illegal underground street fights. With no formal MMA training he proceeds to somehow win every fight. This is the Biography of Forest Griffin.

Just Kidding.

Why do the actors in this movie mumble and slur their words. I cant understand ANYTHING their saying. This is just crappy acting.

The Red Canvas (2010,  PG-13)
The Red Canvas
Weak...horrible lighting, poor storyline, low budget. just all around bad directing.

They recycled the same sound effect for every hit regardless if it was a punch to the face or an elbow to the ribs, it was always the same thud.
All the sound FX seemed like they were obviously added in post.

This movie tried so hard to be dramatic, but it just came off as ridiculous. A sob story that just comes off as pathetic.

Theres nothing convincing about this movie, the cam is all over the place waving around like a disoriented bird.

Cant believe they used the kid from TMNT 2 and Surf Ninjas as the lead. What is this 1993 ? Cmon..

All the fight scenes were worthless except for the very last 1 which they pulled out all the stops.Just about everything imaginable happens. Some1 even gets hit with a wooden chair.
Worst fight movie I've ever seen.
