The Departed (2006, R)
Scorsese out did himself on this one. It's very suspenseful and very violent. That's good if you ask me. It has great acting and a terrific plot that will keep you guessing to the very end. Mark Wahlberg though I think steals the show even though he has on screen less that the rest of them. One of the greatest movies ever made! |

Pearl Harbor (2001, PG-13)
It has cinematic masterpiece written all over it. The story and the characters are so well developed. The action scenes are well done and everything in it suggests that that truly was the Greatest Generation. And to top it off, Kate Beckinsale as the cherry on top. To put is simply, one of the new millennium's first great movies. |

The Rock (1996, R)
A prime of example of a great action movie. The story although not completely believable is somewhat plausible, but this movie is simply about action. The action sequences are superb and do not disappoint. The cast is All-Star, Nic Cage at his finest, with McGinley, Morse, and Harris delivering terrific performances, but Sean Connery steals the show. It was some of his best work. |

WALL-E (2008, G)
One of the first truly great masterpieces of our time. The "voice acting", even though mostly noises and mimicks really convey what the Robots are feeling. Well written and the whole movie although somewhat sad is truly epic in everything it does. This is quite possibly the best kids movie in a long, long time, if not ever. It is cinematically jaw dropping and WALL-E is so cute. Yes I said it. |
