One of the greatest adaptaions of the classic story, there are no cheap gimmicks, like cartoons, or muppets. It is just masterfully portrayed and directed. Patrick Stewart playes Scrooge perfectly, and the rest of the cast conveys the original message in the book.

The Departed
Scorsese out did himself on this one. It's very suspenseful and very violent. That's good if you ask me. It has great acting and a terrific plot that will keep you guessing to the very end. Mark Wahlberg though I think steals the show even though he has on screen less that the rest of them. One of the greatest movies ever made!

Pearl Harbor
It has cinematic masterpiece written all over it. The story and the characters are so well developed. The action scenes are well done and everything in it suggests that that truly was the Greatest Generation. And to top it off, Kate Beckinsale as the cherry on top. The Rock (1996,  R)
The Rock
A prime of example of a great action movie. The story although not completely believable is somewhat plausible, but this movie is simply about action. The action sequences are superb and do not disappoint. The cast is All-Star, Nic Cage at his finest, with McGinley, Morse, and Harris delivering terrific performances, but Sean Connery steals the show. It was some of his best work.

Star Trek VI - The Undiscovered Country
Best Star Trek movie ever. The characters are well developed and you don't need to be a trekkie (or trekker, whatever) to enjoy the movie. It has a very strong "end of the Cold War" feeling to it.
33
Street Kings (2008,  R)
Street Kings
One of the best movies of 2008 hands down. Keanu Reeves, Hugh Laurie, and Forest Whitaker deliver some of their best performances ever. Action packed with a well written, tense, and suspenseful plot.
34
Taken (2009,  PG-13)
Taken
If I had to describe this movie in one word, it would me: WOW! Simply put there is not a single part of this movie that will disappoint you. The action scenes are amazing and Neeson is such a bad ass in this movie, he puts Bourne and McClaine to shame. Absolutely fantastic!
35
The Ten Commandments (1956,  G)
The Ten Commandments
The Single Greatest Movie Ever Made! Not only was it ahead of it's time, it stands the test of time. It was made when making a movie ment something, and it all wasn't CGI. Those special effects put today's movies and movie makers to shame. Absolutely PERFECT!!

38
WALL-E (2008,  G)
WALL-E
One of the first truly great masterpieces of our time. The "voice acting", even though mostly noises and mimicks really convey what the Robots are feeling. Well written and the whole movie although somewhat sad is truly epic in everything it does. This is quite possibly the best kids movie in a long, long time, if not ever. It is cinematically jaw dropping and WALL-E is so cute. Yes I said it.
