Sweet romantic comedy with Janeane Garofalo as a Senator's aide sent to Ireland to dig up his family tree for his latest campaign. She arrives in the middle of the town's matchmaking festival and has to fend off matchmakers while trying to get the locals to cooperate with her search. Janeane is great in this movie, so is Denis Leary as the Senator's smarmy handler.

Cute movie about two women going through men troubles who decide to trade houses for the christmas holiday. Started out a bit cheesy, but turned out better than I expected. I like Cameron Diaz, but I just wasn't impressed with her all that much in this. The rest of the actors made up for it, however.
By the end I wanted it to go on longer and find out more about who ended up moving where and have more loose ends tied. I can tell they cut a lot out to pare it down to 2 hours and 15 minutes. Overall, a pretty endearing movie. Definitely worth a watch!

Cute bit of PG-13 fluff about two Mexican women who decide to become bank robbers and exact revenge on the greedy bankers and their henchmen who destroyed their community and families and grabbed their lands.
Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz play the feisty, old west bandidas in their usual styles. Steve Zahn was cute as the hapless investigator that the bandidas kidnap and practice kissing on. Dwight Yoakam had a good part as a creepy bad guy, and look for a bit part by Sam Shepard as an ole outlaw who teaches them a thing or two.
A family comedy- western, a-la Maverick and Shanghai Noon, with girl power and a good soundtrack.

Endearing story of young love set in France. Featuring Diane Lane in her first film role. Lauren King (Lane), an incredibly smart young American girl living in France meets a young French boy, Daniel (Thelonious Bernard), who is an American movie buff. They run into the older gent Julius (Laurence Olivier), who tells them about the Bridge of Sighs in Venice. If two lovers kiss under the Bridge of Sighs at a certain time, their love will last forever. When Lauren learns her parents plan to move back to the states, Lauren and Daniel run away to Venice, conning the old thief Julius into being their adult chaperone. Wonderful, sweet film for (almost) all ages.

A bridesmaid (Helena Bonham Carter) and the brother of the bride (Aaron Eckhart) run into each other at a wedding. As the night unfolds we slowly learn about their past.
Eckhart and Carter have good chemistry and shine with a good script. The split-screen works well, it can be hard to follow at times, but adds depth that would take up too much time and dialogue. Pretty good movie, worth a watch.

Actually better than I thought it was going to be. I was annoyed at the beginning but it got better. I wasn't expecting this much of a drama. I barely recognized Cary Elwes. Worth a watch.

Actually quite cute remix of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs. Well done PG-13 'Revenge of the Nerds'-type storyline. Young women should love it unless they're in the snotty, stuck up clique.
