Leonard Cohen: Live in London (2009,  Unrated)
Leonard Cohen: Live in London
Leonard Cohen certainly knows how to charm an audience and he does exactly that with this concert live in London. Building an instant rapour with the audience, his hugely talented band make this a pretty outstanding event.

Young or Old, if you appreciate the sound of live, talented performers who are true musicians, give this dvd a play.

The Pretenders: Greatest Hits (2005,  Unrated)
The Pretenders: Greatest Hits
The fantastic voice of Chrissie Hynde it is, as the title suggests, the videos of their greatest hits. A very easy watching dvd.
3
Cat Stevens: Majikat (2004,  Unrated)
Cat Stevens: Majikat
I loved this tour so much I named myself after it (well my username anyway) and of course my other username comes from a song by the same name (Lady D?arbonville) which is featured in the dvd.

Cat Stevens (if you haven?t guessed by now) is my musical hero. He?s a fantastic performer, vocalist, song writer and musician and of course his outlook during the 70?s was one of peace.

Many of Cat?s songs were based on his soul searching and how he perceived the world through these years and some appeared to be ahead of their time, such as ?Where do the children play??

The concert is a piece of history for any fan of Cat Stevens, especially as this was the last tour before he gave up music. He converted to Islam and didn?t perform again for some 30 years, when of course he is now known as Yusef Islam.

I have to say this dvd is my most prize possession ? a little obsessed? Quite possibly.

The special features are most definitely worth a look as you will not only see further music videos and his discography, but an interview with Yusef Islam, talking about his days as Cat Stevens, what were his influences and what led him to the path he has chosen today.

Alanis Morissette: Feast on Scraps (2002,  Unrated)
Alanis Morissette: Feast on Scraps
Fantastic performances each and every time with Alanis, I'm a huge fan of all her work, however there is one thing I gound rather annoying in this dvd, the filming cuts part way through a song and picks up the same song from another concert, when this is happens there is a huge difference in sound quality and runis some of the tracks, that is the only reason this one doesn't reach the 5 stars.

VERDICT: Alanis is a fantastic writer and fairly deep with her lyrics, so not for everybody, but I think she's fantastic.

Red Rocks Live: Neil Young Friends & Relatives (2000,  Unrated)
Red Rocks Live: Neil Young Friends & Relatives
A great performance, but a lot of his lesser known songs ? loved the ?Unknown Legend? (my favourite Neil Young song) and a few others, this one is definitely in need of a few more watches.
6
Eagles: Hell Freezes Over (1994,  Unrated)
Eagles: Hell Freezes Over
A fantastic concert highlighting both the vocal and musical abilites of the band. The beauty of The Eagles is that with four different lead vocalists, you get four different styles of songs, something for everyone ? this is a must see for Eagles fans and one you?ll want to play over and over.
7
The Last Waltz (1978,  R)
The Last Waltz
Martin Scorsese directs this part interview, part live show with members of ?The Band? on their last gig together after 18 years on the road.

An impressive musical line up offers performances from Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Van Morrison etc etc.

For those who enjoy this era of music and the atmosphere of live singers who are some of the best musicians of our time, this footage really is a treat to see. The quality of performances are exceptional and I?ve no doubt that this will be one to play over and over.

Guns N' Roses: Welcome to the Videos (,  Unrated)
Guns N' Roses: Welcome to the Videos
Fantastic, i love Guns n Roses, this one lose a star purely because it's not the live performances.

VERDICT: A definite recommendation

Simon and Garfunkel: The Concert in Central Park (,  Unrated)
Simon and Garfunkel: The Concert in Central Park
Great performances throughout, from a great duo. This dvd shos performances through the years, where you can see the technical qualities improve, whilst their voices remain consistant throughout.

A great relaxing viewing, a definite recommendation to fans of the duo.
