This film took me way back, it was much longer than I remember it being. I love Christopher Reeve as Superman and Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor.
I guess this film was really about warming up for the sequels, from birth to Superhero. Really enjoyed watching it again though.
VERDICT: I doubt there are many people out there who hasn't watched this at some point, but it's great to watch over again.

Much more action than the first and it was quite funny to the see the tree bad guys again, as a child they used to scare me (well I was only 5 at the time) Gene Hackman was great again as Lex Luthor.
VERDICT: A fun nostalgic viewing

Batman
(1989, PG-13)
Having not seen this film for years it was great seeing Jack Nicholson's portrayal of The Joker, he was absolutely made for that part. The film itself was watchable and brought back memories of when my Nephew was obsessed with wearing his Batman suit everyday. I hadn't realised quite how old this film was, entertaining though - ever danced with the devil in the pale moon light?

Not as good as the first, I think the bad guys were a little weaker in this one, although I preferred Christopher Walken's part better than The Penguin or Catwoman.
VERDICT: A watchable follow up to the first, if you haven't seen it, wait for it to come on tv

Full to the brim of corny jokes, very colourful, loved the luminous colours, great make-up for Poison Ivy, but did feel the story lacked in content somewhat. Obviously great visually though and definitely worth a watch.

A little disappointed by this one in that it took a while to get the Ridler fully into the picture and Jim Carey was made for this part. I think this is probably the best of the three so far, it just took a while for the story to really start taking place and I still didn't think the storyline was particularly strong.
VERDICT: Definitely worth a watch I just had higher expectations, but it's worth it for Jim Carey.

An enjoyable Vampire film, with lots of fighting action. Snipes was in fantastic shape for this movie, which of course set off the image of the Superhero Vampire slayer. A good part, I feel, played by Steven Dorff, who plays the vampire intent on wiping out the human race.

A pretty entertaining film, the use of the wrestling was pretty clever for the timing of it's release and Tobey Maguire makes a pretty good Peter Parker/Spiderman.
Some great effects and stunts too.

The calibre of actors in this films (with the exception of Katie Holmes) seemed far too talented for this type of movie. The film was all a bit too serious, which as a story in it's own right was ok, but a little too serious for a Batman film I feel. There didn't seem to have much of a comic book feel to it.
I did enjoy the fight training, but thought the casting of Michael Caine a little odd for the role of 'Alfred', Caine's not really known for his posh accent.
Altogether I found it watchable, but not very exciting. I can't see that this would've appealed much to the kids, which I'm sure is the biggest target audience for a superhero film.

Certainly not one of the best superhero films and I think that?s evident because there was no sequel made, however I did like the character of ?Bulleye? played by Colin Farrell. Overall the film was watchable, but feel it lacked in storyline, gadgets and bad guys for a superhero movie.

Some impressive effects, it did remind somewhat of the Superman sequel, where he gives up his powers for Lois. I wasn't particularly impressed by the 'baddie' in this part, it didn't quite feel creative enough for a big superhero film, however, I do think the film was better than most critics had rated it to be.
