Finally, I have witnessed this masterpiece! I can't believe I waited this long! I cannot wait for the next two of the trilogy.

I had put this off for a long time as it's not normally the kind of thing that i'm interested in, but I figured I would give it a go. And i'm glad I did. It is a captivating watch from start to finish. All round good performance, stunning visuals and cinematography and a nice score to accompany the story. The special effects are so good that even though it is a fantasty, it still seems so real.

There are gripping scenes, touching scenes and funny scene all mixed into a flawless 3 hours and 20 minutes, in which you never get bored.

The sceenplay is magic and the directon by Jackson was brilliant. Who suceeded in making the film very real.

I am happy I have finally seen this masterpiece and can see what I have been missing all this time.

Wow! The second installment really didn't disappoint! Not that I was expecting it to anway. This film really blow me away, more so than Fellowship Of The Ring.

This film had more action, an even better script and more substance as well as style. The screenplay has funny lines and makes for some funny moments, particularily the competition between Gimli and Legolas about how many enemies they can kill.

I was glad to fuinally see Gollum constantly in the film as he is one of the most interesting and well crafted of the characters and is probably my favourite character of the trilogy. It aslo meant we could hear more of the amazing vocal talent of Andy Serkis, who's voiceover has taken over Claude Rains in the Invisible Man for my favourite character voice over in a film.

The cinamatography is again spectacular, making the film look beuatiful in places, and grimy and gritty in others and I think it really had a key part in creating mood for the film.

The fantastic score also returns, aslo becoming one of my favourite scores for a film (or Trilogy in this case).

All the other characters are good in their own way, with every actor doing a great job to make their character fun and interesting to watch.

Directing with great style again, Peter Jackson really did out-do Fellowship and made an even better, more exciting film.

A wonderful, memorable epic. One of the best of the 2000's, and the best of 2002 by far.

Best one yet. Even though this was the longest of the trilogy, it flew by more than the others did. This is because it is the most exciting and well made of the 3.

Everything and more from the last films return and even better this time around. The acting is great. Hell, even Orlando Bloom was good in this. There are some really intense scenes ranging from huge battles to little fights, such as Sam and a Giant spider.

Also back is the talent of Jackson, bringing the same skill he used to make the last two and crafting another masterpiece and a cinema changing film. At the Oscars he finally won best director for this and, for the most unqiue part, had made a film that won best picture. A uniqe triumph seeing as,along with Horror and Comedy, fantasy seem to be the least represented at the oscars, or always seem to lose out on the big awards at least.

The screenplay is again fantastic, merging funny, tragic and action together much like the last two, but better. It also deservedly won Best Screenplay-Adapted at the Oscars too. Meaning it has won 3 out of the 5 mains ones, with only actor and actress not winning anyway.

The cinematography is again pirstine and was surprised it didn't actually win and Oscar. It is one of the best colour cinematographies of all time in my opinion, and makes the whole film look amazing.

The song by Annie Lennox was so suiting too, aswell as the brilliant score which again returned in this. Music is an im portent part in a film, and this nailed it.

It all looks so realistic, you sometimes even forgoet its a fantsaty that could never happen. This realism really has made what the film is today, and that is a masterpiece that can entracne you simply by looking at the visuals. On top of this is the entrancing plot and they both add together to make a masterpiece.

This is a film no one should miss and I am glad I have finally seen it along with the rest of the trilogy.

I can't believe I let it get to 8 years before I re-watched this heart-warming classic sci-fi. I was seven, maybe younger, last time I watched this.

This is one of the few films that have made me cry, or nearly at least. The ending is one of the saddest, yet happy there is. It is both heart-warming and heart-breaking too.

This film features one of the best performances from a child actor ever. Henry Thomas really allows you to feel for his character and he never lets himself become one of those annoying kids you end up hating. He understood his character and it shows. Drew Barrymore also showed real talent in her cute role as the little sister too.

This film is direted really well by Steven Spielberg. He has created one of the most spellbinding and emotional family films of all time and one which will always be remembered.

A timeless family sci-fi and if it doesn't get you emotional, you must be dead inside!

Spielbergs second best film!! This comes right after Jaws for me.

It isa weird, mystery filled film with a high tention rate which kept me entertained for the whole film even though it is quite lengthy.

The whole spaceship designs are magnificient and so are the sets and the actual aliens themselves must have started this whole "human like" look we think of when we hear the word aliens.

The acting is great from all involved. Richard Dreyfuss is brilliant and so is Teri Garr. Her only other film I have seen is Young Frankenstein which she plays a comedy role. I found out she is just as good in a serious film too.

The whole film is spellbinding, with very memorable scenes and a memorable score to match.

This is one of the best sci-fi's and Steven Spielberg seems to be the master of that genre.
