i have seen each of the bond films 3 or 4 times a piece, but i have never seen them in chronological order. what ive decided to do is watch them in order, re-rating them as i go and placing them in this list. this list will not be arranged in that order however, instead i will be placing them in order of favorites.

From Russia With Love
the second bond is one of the best. a complex but followable story with great elements to give this a very bond feel. this film gives spectre its teeth and establishes it as a force to be dealt with.
2
Goldfinger (1964,  PG)
Goldfinger
second best bond film, recognized as the bond masterpiece this one will stand the test of time. i love this movie.

Dr. No (1962,  PG)
Dr. No
the first bond film and a great kick off to the classic franchise. bond has sort of become a genre all its own, and a great first film to anchor the series was necessary, this film did what was needed to make bond a milestone film character.

You Only Live Twice (1967,  PG)
You Only Live Twice
ninja bond. while some parts defy logic and are just plain silly, this is still a solid addition to the bond canon. the reveal of blofeld is a classic bond moment and the battle at the end between ninja's and spectre thugs is great.
5
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969,  PG)
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
lazenby gets a bad wrap, having to follow connery, as he pulled of the role of bond for this film just fine. the film is an excellent one with great chase scenes, an interesting story, and more emotion than we're used to from a bond film. it was a bit too long for a bond film and the final scene was executed very poorly, but overall this is another solid addition to the bond legacy.
6
Thunderball (1965,  PG)
Thunderball
while a bit slower than most bond films, its still a solid addition with a great storyline. the underwater fight at the end was inventive.
