Dead Silence
From the creators of "Saw" comes this surprisingly effective ghost story about an old lady who rises from the grave to exact her revenge on the villagers who murdered her. Aided by her dolls and marionettes, she decimates the culprits and their relatives one by one.
Chilling and atmospheric, "Dead Silence" is one of the most beautifully-illustrated horror movies since Tim Burton's "Sleepy Hollow". It borrows heavily from fairy tales and exhibits a true understanding of the genre. All in all, I don't hesitate strongly to recommend this film to all my contacts.
Rent it... or better yet: buy it, and see what fate awaits the protagonists... and remember: "Beware the stare of Mary Shaw. She had no children, only dolls. And if you see her in your dreams, be sure you never, ever scream..."
