Gloomy depressing movies :{

Hillary Swank was amazing in this movie,she truly deserved the Oscar. This movie was brilliant but after watching it i felt really flat and sad,its not a movie i would watch again.

Great acting and great storyline but this movie was so depressing that i did not enjoy it at all,i never want to watch it again.

This movie left me feeling angry. Besides from Jan,his friends and the doctor i can honestly say i hated every other man in this movie,really really hated them even the horrible little male children who threw the stones,little bastards. The women were not much better,infact the only character i really liked was Dodo,even Bess did my head in but the way she was treated by the islanders including her own family and men on the boat was vile and sickening.

This could possibly be the most depressing movie i have ever seen.

The acting was superb but certain scenes dragged out way too long. It was very bleak and depressing and even though i have given it 3 stars i did not enjoy it at all.

Great performance from Maggie Gyllenhaal and also from the little girl who played her daughter,Ryan Simpkins. Good movie but it left me feeling flat. I cringed at some of the scenes especially the singing at the dinner table scene. I disliked the character Sherry but also felt extremely sorry for her especially after watching her with her father,he was a first class sicko.

Why did people keep letting this pathetic repulsive man into their homes?

I caught this film showing on tv and was going to turn it off but it was quite interesting. I was shouting at the tv for the girls in Kids not to have sex with the skateboarder.

I had no idea what this movie was about before i sat down to watch it. After the first few scenes i was like "what the hell have i recorded". I am not easily shocked but i found some of the scenes very hard to watch infact in one scene you kind of know whats coming and so i almost pressed fast forward. A really good movie but i didnt enjoy it,it was pretty depressing.
