Gone With the Wind (1939,  G)
Gone With the Wind
What I DON'T love about this movie? I love everything about it. It's dramatic, it's an epic and it's controversial! It's even fashionable.. This is how I fell in love with Clark Gable...

The Sound of Music (1965,  G)
The Sound of Music
Long before Mia Farrow popularized the Mia-Farrow haircut, Julie Andrews did it first. It's not just a mindless musical.

It Started in Naples (1960,  Unrated)
It Started in Naples
"The one in Philly, not the one flying to heaven"... ahahaha...

bellisimo...

Mutiny on the Bounty (1935,  Unrated)
Mutiny on the Bounty
start slow but picked up by inneresting dialogues....
"I asked for your name lad, not the history of your misery..."
"Cheese can't fly, you fool, they've been stolen, of course!"
"I'm so weak, I'm peaceful"
"I don't despise fact, i'm indifferent to it"
Bad gibberish of Tahitian language tho
Sigh... Fletcher Christian.....

My Fair Lady (1964,  G)
My Fair Lady
Ms Chic-Extraordinaire Hepburn was mesmerizing. A simple look at speechs importance in class strata. Catchy songs. The ironic Cockney dad was very interesting. Too bad the professor-flower girl relationship weren't defined properly
6
The Magnificent Seven (1960,  Unrated)
The Magnificent Seven
Strangely-adapted from Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai... love it because of Yul Bryner.
7
Poor Little Rich Girl (1936,  G)
8
War and Peace (1956,  PG)
War and Peace
if only it wasn't too long and too dreary, I would have loved it
9
The Godfather (1972,  R)
The Godfather
After yeaaaars, I finally watched it. In Bandung! Talk about as FAR as the eyes can see, eh?

La Ciociara (Two Women) (The Woman from Ciociara) (1960,  Unrated)
La Ciociara (Two Women) (The Woman from Ciociara)
De Sica's capacity to render tragedy both with the starkest of strokes and the most delicate of emotions has never been more impressive than in this film, and Loren's shatteringly honest portrayal is a watershed in movie history. <- hah, not my review... I'm just nodding to every word.
