King of California (2007, PG-13)
This is an interesting and hilarious movie by Mike Cahill. The story plot follows a young woman who has pratically raised herself, but yet lives with her eccentric father (Michael Douglas). As she tries to keep their heads above water financially, her father is on a personal voyage of his own to look for lost treasures. She amuses and follows him along, although not truly believing. Great performances by Michael Douglas and Evan Rachel Wood! Highly intriguing!! |

Kickin' It Old Skool (2007, PG-13)
This movie is all humorous, and its good to see Jamie Kennedy in comedies. Despite the many critic's opinions, Jamie Kennedy is a natural. He has such a great sense of humor, one cannot help but be intune with his personality (i.e. his short-run MTV show-which, by the way, was outstanding! Great laughs!) The characters he portrays in various movies are extraordinary (i.e. Malibu's Most Wanted, Three Kings, Bongwater). |

The Jane Austen Book Club (2007, PG-13)
Great movie! Absolutely enjoyed watching this movie; it centralizes around a group of individuals who find one thing in common: Jane Austen. They form a book club and hold discussions, while trying to cope with every day life. Phenomenal character interactions, great music! Filled with much laughter. This is definitely a movie I will watch occasionally. |

Multiplicity (1996, PG-13)
Love it! Hilarious comedy-drama. Here is a movie filled with tons of laughter, and one that always leaves you feeling good. This is definitely my all-time favorite amongst the collection of movies from Michael Keaton. This movie is about Keaton's character "Steve" who is married with children and has a demanding career. Steve tries to juggle the demands of his business, his relationship with his wife, spending time with his children, and heavily committing to the financial responsibilites in their lives. These demands and obligations begin to take a toll on Steve, and thus begins to think when does he ever get a chance to have some time to himself. When he meets a scientist working on a cloning project, he ponders his options and decides to embark on one crazy adventure right after another to help alleviate some of the pressures that he has to deal with on a daily basis and fully embrace his freedom. At a cost, he realizes that these endeavors also create havocs. Andie MacDowell is absolutely great. Definitely worth checking out. |
