The film and the book are two totally different beings, yet also one in the same. The novel is virtually unfilmable in it's original form. I loved Cronenberg's take on the story! It is absolutely brilliant the way he incorporated Peter Weller's hallucinations. Weller's monotone/mumbling performance is so perfect! I believe this to be one of those "love it or hate it" films. |
